D1 Ohio University tops Wooster 79-65 in an exhibition game yesterday.  Wooster stayed reasonably close throughout, getting as close as 6 midway through the second half, despite missing its top two players (both injured and not dressed).  Wooster used 14 players prior to garbage time, nine of whom were playing their first game in a Wooster uniform (eight frosh and one transfer.)

Puget Sound squares off against Eastern Washington on November 8th.  Not a likely upset, but hey Puget Sound pulled it off 3 years ago against UC Riverside.  A fan can hope can't he? ;D

I posted this on the UAA board a few days ago but Carnegie Mellon beat D2 Indiana University of PA last weekend.

Here's three I know of this weekend:

Clark Vs Franklin Pierce (D2)
WPI Vs UNH (D1)
RIC vs URI (D1)

Ground rules for discussion and a decision by the gurus, especially Rhodes Scholar.

Will we count exhibition games that occur prior to the start of the D3 season?

I love it anytime a D3 plays with, or beats, a D1 or D2, but I don't think we can factor these games in - they don't count as real games for either team.

Isn't this an infomational site? Isn't the exhibition season win most of these D3 v. D1 games take place?

Keep them coming guys. I enjoy the info!

Yes, love the discussion, but I assumed Ralph was talking about the official records kept by Rhodes Scholar...

Yes!  Rhodes Scholars' yeoman's work on the inter-division games is one of the best features of the website.

Rhodes Scholar

I've never kept track of the exhibition games because they don't have the same legitimacy as a regular season game.

Puget Sound goes down to Eastern Washington 66-90 in an exhibition game.  From the looks of the stats Puget Sound was outclassed by a better opponent.

Mr. Ypsi

It's reported on the WIAC board that Platteville defeated Bradley tonight, 84-79.

VERY impressive!  Bradley is picked for 5th (of 10) in the Missouri Valley Conference (a solidly mid-major D1 conference), and went to the title game last year in the NIT.  While they lost a lot, they have two returning starters who were picked among the top 9 on the pre-season all-conference team.

Titan Q's first-place vote for UWP is lookin' good! ;)

Pat Coleman

Good win indeed -- though Bradley played in the CBI, not the NIT.
