D3 vs. D1/D2/NAIA/NCCAA

I believe Southern Va. is in an "exploratory" year for changing to DIII.  I'm assuming that is the reason most of their games are listed on the scoreboard, but please correct me if I'm wrong

Any idea why Southern Va. 58  Southern Utah 75 was listed as a score on the Nov. 23rd scoreboard? Maybe Pat can tell us. I don't think either school is D3.

They've been on several times.. Augie may be right, but They aren't in my data base as D3 because they aren't listed as D3 under the D3hoops teams section

Southern Virginia's web site lists the NAIA and USCAA logos.

Southern Utah's web site lists the Big Sky and Summitt League logos, which are D1 Conferences.

That is all I could find.

This was the press release from earlier this year.  There are several teams that are exploring DIII this year although I only remember seeing Southen Va show up on the scoreboard.

We have access to Southern Virginia (and others, Fisher, Albany Pharmacy) in our database because they play a number of Division III schools and it's easier to make all of the Southern Virginia games non-region at the same time.
