Finlandia played (and lost to) Bay CC.... I'm not including that game as I believe games against 2 year schools are not included by the NCAA in D3 teams records.

Agree with all of that, but what is odd is that Finlandia seems to count them as official games on their website. Since they stopped playing a round robin schedule with the UMAC ('16-'17 season) they have scheduled Bay CC and Gogebic CC and list them in their records and stats as counting games.

Gregory Sager

Finlandia can do whatever it likes with its records and stats, but the NCAA will not recognize those games. They will count towards the 25-game ceiling for player participation in the regular season, but the results, stats, and any records set will not be counted by D3. And d3hoops.com won't recognize them as legit games, either.

Finlandia was 0-21 last season according to their website and d3hoop.com's listing of schedule results with 3 of those games being against Bay CC and Gogebic CC. I went to NCAA's website and they list Finlandia at 0-18 last season with no record of those games being played, which is just confirming what we all thought was the case. It is also a given that the games are not used for SOS purposes or used for any other metrics, but if d3hoops.com is listing the results and showing Finlandia as 0-21, are they not than recognizing the games as official games? Not trying to be a pain here, but why does d3hoops.com list the games in the official results?

My guess is that Pat didn't audit Finlandia's schedule for last season. Send him a PM or an email, and he'll change it.

I don't know if Pat will want to go back and change things, but, generally, for our purposes, if it's not marked as a regional game, it doesn't really matter.  Only the regional games get pulled for SOS and stuff like that.  We could go mark them as exhibition and they might not show up in the schedule anymore, but it wouldn't change anything else in the system.

I audit, but schools have the ability to change them and I don't get any notification.

With this year's Finlandia schedule, I went through the process of actually locking out changes, which takes about 10 times as long but seemed necessary.
