Yep, you're right. Exhibitions. Sorry. NPU's first scrimmage is this afternoon, so I obviously have the concept of "scrimmage" on my brain today.

Scott, you should find an emoticon that indicates rhetorical speech, since (especially) the question about attendance looked pretty literal to me. Perhaps Question Guy  ??? followed by Winking Guy ;) would suffice.  :)

Ah, I thought my prior service and postings here would suffice...alas.. ::)

smedindy - no harm intended - I thought you were mentioning those games as add ons to my list thinking that my list was ALL d3 vs D1 activity for the season.  As you DO understand, my list was only for the "exhibitions".  If I think of it -  my data base at home has all games during the regular season vs D1 teams - I'll print that out tonite.
The lengthy definition I went in to of regular season vs exhibition vs scrimmage was for the handful of people reading who may not have understood the difference.

hopefan:

Shouldn't that be Concordia Austin v. UTSA? (While they do plan to move the campus, that won't happen for several years -- and not to Dallas.  ;))

hopefan

Thanks Warren -  I don't know how Dallas snuck in there - I guess I would have caught it if I'd ever been to the Grand State of Texas - one I've never hit.  Shoot, gotta correct all my schedules!!!!!!!

Not to worry, hopefan. Maybe some day you'll make it to my home state (I've not been back there myself since 2001).

BTW many of us native San Antonians consider that Dallas is actually located in south Oklahoma.  :P

Kent St beats Muskingum  71- 52

D3 now 0-19 in exhibitions vs D1   -  glad they don't count in our record.

I'll see Maryville (Mo) vs St Louis U tonite - SLU's all around quickness and superior size in the middle should add up to a lop sided score, but it will be a thrill for the Maryville kids to play at the Savis Center.

Looks like UW-Whitewater gave D1 national power Marquette a good battle last night. According to Q's post in the WIAC room, the Warhawks were down by only eight with three and a half minutes left in the game before the big boys pulled away. UWW actually outrebounded Marquette, 35-33.

I had the chance to see UWW scrimmage North Park last week. The Warhawks are going to be tough again this season. Returning All-WIAC honoree Jeremy Manchester will be one of the best guards in the nation this year, and Tony Miggins is a wide-body with a sweet midrange turnaround. Mike Toellner gives them a very able big man as well.

I didn't realize that Whitewater had joined the SLIAC, hopefan.  Looks like that woebegone conference might be in line for its first tourney victory!  ;)
