That's Pat's perogative as well as it is FISK's perogative to schedule opponents whom they choose, regardless of the 50% "rule".

Also the NCAA's prerogative to sanction schools that don't follow their rules.

I think the rule in the Division III bylaws states that schools must schedule 50% in-region to be eligible for the tournament.  So FISK chooses not to be "eligible" for the tournament?  What are you getting at Pat?

To me, that's a sanction. And a shame...

To you it may be a sanction, to the FISK athletic department it may be called "free choice"!

The behavior of the AD on the board this summer makes one wonder if they even knew the rules. He didn't know the rules about playoff selection in the instance he griped about.

Why don't you ask him instead of assuming or wondering? Or is it just something you like to harp upon?

BTW Pat for what it is worth, D3 FISK beat D2 Lane this past Saturday 61-57 in Nashville!

1. Well take my word for it then.  They know.

2. BTW, I take issue with your d3hoops notation regarding FISK.  The notation I am talking about specifically states that "This school does not have a Division III program."  This surprises me coming from someone who prides himself on accuracy (particularly amongst journalists). That statement is either A) a reckless disregard for the truth or B) a boldface lie on your part.  Regardless of which it is, I demand a retraction of that statement.

Wilburt -- we choose not to recognize Fisk based on its schedule. That's all there is to say here. Your continued arguments should be made toward Fisk for failing to schedule Division III institutions.
