Moving UMPI from D3 to NAIA-2 is what's known in nautical terms as "jettisoning the ballast."

Don't you go bad-mouthing the Owls. >:(  With the exception of Caltech (and, perhaps, Finlandia) they are our most beloved sad-sacks! ;D

hopefan, keep two sets of books - we're gonna regret it if UMPI suddenly gets hot and goes 9-5 against NAIA D2! :o :D

That might very well happen, Chuck ... if this website ever starts covering intercollegiate Nordic skiing. ;)

Wait, what? UMPI NAIA-D2?

Aw, hell naw!

They be ours, mainly because they're "North of Ordinary", which I think is 17 miles down the Aroostook Highway.

I guess they turned out to be Presque-D3 as well as Presque-Isle.

I am disappointed. I thought a Harvard / MIT game would have game notes hand written by a feral monk in Sanskrit.

Game notes for Monday's MIT-Harvard game:

http://static.psbin.com/p/1/04p7uopd34cxni/11_MIT.pdf

MIT played with Harvard for a little over a half (6 point game with under 19 to go), but the depth, especially in the post, was too much for MIT.  MIT was outscored 43-7 off the bench and 54-18 in the paint.  Was a good test for the young team, but the important games start again next week.  The final score is a bit misleading because it was about a 15 minute game until about 4 minutes left when the benches cleared and MIT was outscored by 12 in those final 4 minutes.

One of those 'you've got nothing to lose' predictions....
Maybe, just Maybe,  Westminster Mo could be competitive with D1 Tennessee Martin tomorrow the 30th.
Westmin has a 6 game win streak coming off a trip to No Illinois where they won at Elmhurst and Concordia Ill... In Westmin's early losses, theie starting forward Ky Millard was either still playing or just finished up his soccer season....  2 very good frosh for Westmin are getting more experience and showing good stats.... Tenn Martin has only beaten Harris Stowe of St Louis, a below average D2 team.....

Yes there is likely still a big difference,... but if Westmin were to play its best game....  you heard it from the ol hopefan......
