St. Joseph's, Brooklyn (USCAA) 74, Thomas 56

After reading this I checked this schools schedule out and see some interesting things which make me wonder why some schools do not compete in the NCAA officially...if anyone can offer insight im open to it...here are the things im talking about:

St Joseph's Brooklyn:

They are trying to join the NCAA and enter the provisional membership process next season.

sixfour, I would flip the question back to you and ask what does St Joseph's Brooklyn have that a conference would want.  Do they bring sports other than basketball that strengthen a conference such as the Skyline or the North East AC?  Would they be any type of fit for the CUNYAC?  What do the St Joseph's women bring to the table? :)

Probably not, because it's not a CUNY (City University of New York) school. The CUNYAC schools are all public institutions owned and operated by New York City. St. Joe's of Brooklyn is a private school.

i dont know any of these answers which is why i asked :) i dont know if they are slated for a conference or not, and if they arent i would wonder why not, since they are obviously competitive with the teams in the region. In my opinion thaqt is what a conference would want.

As far as the womens programs, i am sure there are ways to find out.

St Joseph's Brooklyn needs to add four men's sports and one women's sport to field the full complement of 5 and 5, altho' they say they field 7 Intercollegiate Sports on the web site.
