Interesting to note that the NAIA D II #1, MidAmerica Nazarene, defeated the NAIA DI #1, Oklahoma City...

Both are defending national champions in their respective divisions.

Hmmm...it seems the entire college basketball landscape is moving closer and closer together. One day, every team will be .500.   :D

Entropy only applies in a closed system.  As long as coaches can recruit overseas, they can still break out (unless, of course, the entire world is headed for .500).

But fear not, in d3 we have a 25 game limit, so half the teams will still be over .500 at 13-12. :P

MidAmerica is down in my neck of the woods.  Their championship last season was entirely unexpected.  The coach and the program were building up for this season and next, so they should be pretty good.  I know they played Stevens Point last year, any word on d3s on the schedule this year?

Nevermind, I checked.  They don't have any d3s on the schedule this season.

Actually, MNU played UWSP two years ago.  I know that Old School was at the game (it was at a tournament at Dubuque, IA(?)) and so he saw them, though it was two years ago.  I'm pretty sure they made it to Kansas City two seasons ago too, though their record wasn't as sparkling as it was last year (around .500 if my memory serves me correctly).
