2/12

MSOE at Edgewood: Edgewood wins big....
Maranatha at Marian: Crusaders top off their finest season in the conference with a win.

2/13

Alverno at Concordia Wisconsin: GOTW...will the Inferno be able to hang a loss on the Falcons on Buuck? Don't think so...

Wisconsin Lutheran at Aurora: WLC has clinched the home court but an undefeated conference record is still out there....Warriors get that undefeated conference mark.

Dominican at Rockford: Unless Dominican has a perfect night and Aurora pulls off the monumental upset Rockford gets the last spot in the South.

Concordia Chicago at Benedictine: Second place in the South and a potential first round home game hangs in the balance here. Benedictine takes it in a tight one.

Lakeland at MSOE: Muskies clinch a tournament spot and earn a first round matchup against WLC.
Once a Warrior always a Warrior.

Hats off to the Crusaders for a very good season. Morrison could be in the running for COY in the conference.

Wisconsin Lutheran falls out of the regional rankings despite not losing. UW-Stevens Point takes their place. IMO I was not really sold that the Warriors would be considered for an Pool C bid especially with no real statement wins (best wins were against Westminster (14-9) and Hamline (12-11)).

IMHO Brad Duckworth of Alverno is also in the running. The Inferno weren't expected to qualify for the conference playoffs.
I'll talk more on post-season awards after tonight's finals come in.

Can't help but wonder if the women's NAthCon is considered weaker this year than last (Warriors managed to get enough distance in their division- perhaps the dogfight in the North --ironically-- doesn't help much). Or is the WIAC stronger this year?   :-X :-X :-\ :-\

WIAC seems to be slightly "down" than last year but really competitive. I think that the tougher schedules that the WIAC schools play seemed to hold a bit more weight than what WLC plays. I think that the Nath-Con to some degree is stronger than the SLIAC based on out of conference records. Plus it hurt's that when you have two teams (who ironically finished first and second in the south last year) go a combined 3-44 this year as well. WLC has done better than expected after losing Johnson to graduation and Kuehl to UW-Oshkosh.

Just hope that WLC can make a run in the NCAA's if they make it that far.
