Edgewood is experiencing some shooting woes...... they better take it to the hole and get to the FT line. Scheele I think will be the difference.

EC is trailing MBBC with 5:37 to go    46-41

Final:  Edgewood 61, MBBC 52. (Eagles hit their FT's late to pull away.) (Had an off night shooting).

Final:  WLC 83, Dominican 48.

WLC is now 10-1 in-conference!!!  :) ;) :D

2 more 1/25 Finals:

Marian 61, Alverno 48.  (Inferno led by 3 at the half, but the Sabers outshot Alverno in the second half for the win--per Marian box score).

Lakeland 56, Aurora, IL 49. (Per Muskie press release, when Spartans tried double or triple-teaming Boehm, the ball would get kicked off to Danielle Duranceau, who was hitting her 3's that game.)

WLCALUM83

1/27/06 NAthCon Projections:

Aurora over Benedictine. (Only because the Spartans are at home.)

Lakeland over Dominican. (Muskies' offense may be coming around at the right time for them.)

Marian over Maranatha. (Sabers have more muscle inside, but Crusaders have a chance if they're hitting their 3's.)

Rockford over Alverno. (Inferno will need to get a lot of points off turnovers in this one.)

Edgewood over WLC. (Warriors' winning run ends--this is the beginning of their toughest stretch of the season.)

Concordia-WI over Concordia-Chicago (should the 2 meet in the weekend invitational).

This poster's got a feeling things are going to get very interesting yet. :-X :-\ :-X :-\ :) ;) :D

WLCALUM83

This poster's still hoping Concordia-WI wins out the rest of the way. That's probably the best scenario for any Nationals bid from this conference this year.

:-X :-\ :-X :-\ ;) ;)

Aurora over Benedictine

Lakeland over Dominican

Maranatha over Marian

Rockford over Alverno

WLC over Edgewood

Concordia-WI over Concordia-Chicago

WLCALUM83

Final:  Concordia-WI 70, Concordia-Chicago 69  (2 OT's). (If this counts as an in-conference game, the Falcons are back in sole possession of first place.)

WLCALUM83

Final:  Edgewood 64, WLC 59. (Turnovers hurt the Warriors big time down the stretch, and the Eagles also outrebounded WLC for the game.)  :-X :-X

Other 1/27 Finals:

Marian 79, Maranatha Baptist 65  (Marian outshot the Crusaders on 2-pointers and free-throws. MBBC--26 turnovers, per box score off Marian's web-site).

Lakeland 72, Dominican 47.

MSOE 56, Finlandia 53. (As usual, more often then not, it was mostly the Chappell/Guthrie show for MSOE as far as offensive scoring output goes, per MSOE account.)

Rockford College 62, Alverno 30.

Aurora 78, Benedictine 57.

1/30-31/07 Projections:

Maranatha over Dominican:  (Crusaders are at home. Dominican can win this if their taller players have big rebounding and scoring games.)

Aurora over WLC:

Benedictine over Rockford:

Lakeland over Concordia-Chicago:  (More so if the Muskies' Duranceau is given the green light as far as shooting 3's. If that draws the Cougars' taller personnel farther out--.)

Concordia-WI all over Alverno:  (Falcons can put distance between themselves and the other front-runners.)

Edgewood over Marian: (WI Eagle squad also may move up. WI Eagle veteran players are doing it with stamina and guts.)

After Concordia-WI, its' going to be a real dogfight--folks. I can feel it already.

I will be taking in the MBBC - Dom game tonight. Boy, it would be nice to get some good news on this campus. . . I hope you are right WLCALUM.

WLCALUM83

Hey, hey, the Crusaders get a sweep of the season series over Dominican!

Final;  Maranatha 86, Dominican 74. (Crusaders had 4 players in double figures, per MBBC website release.

It was a good game for the Crusaders. Several players came through when it mattered. They weren't dependent on one single player. I kept thinking they were going to implode at several points, but they kept battling and eventually won by a pretty large margin.

Who is most likely to win the Women's POY award in the Northern Athletics Conference?
