11/27/07 NAthCon In-Conference Final:

Concordia-WI 84, Alverno 34.

Non-Conference:

Carroll 73, Lakeland 62 (Carroll's Wickert had 8 blocked shots per box score. Carroll got to the line 5 times as much as Lakeland and outshot the Muskies from the floor.)

11/28 Women's NAthCon Final:

Augustana IL 67, Aurora 58.

WLCALUM83

24 seconds left in 2nd:  Edgewood 59, Lakeland 43 (Scheele another big scoring night, WI Eagles outshot Lakeland from the field and out-rebounded them--per stats on Lakeland website:)

WLCALUM83

Concordia-WI 68, Maranatha 52--Final  (Falcons' Sopkowicz had a big scoring night. Crusaders cut the Falcon lead to 6 but got no closer, per CUW play-by-play account.)

Other NAthCon Finals:

WLC 63, Concordia-Chicago 54.  :) (Emily Laete and Brittany Lindert had big scoring nights for the Warriors. An 8-0  second-half scoring run by WLC turned out to be the difference in this one.-per WLC box score.)

Benedictine 59, Alverno 52. (Inferno got to the line more than IL Eagle squad. Source is Benedictine's box score).

Rockford 63, Dominican 60. (Regents' Butler joins 1,000 point club. A Dominican last-second 3-point shot was missed--source is Rockford box score).

WLCALUM83

One more 11/29 NAthCon Final:

Marian 61, MSOE 34.  :o ??? (Per box score Marian imported from MSOE--Sabers' Moody had a double double. Marian outshot and outrebounded MSOE. MSOE's Guthrie held to 12 points on the night). Thought this would have been closer.

12/01 Women's NAthCon Finals:

Aurora 78, Dominican 76. (Spartans had 4 scorers in double-figures. Julkowski's last second 3-pt attempt missed.--Dominican website play-by-play.)

Concordia-WI 73, Lakeland 49. (CUW's Mayyou had 36 points--Falcons outshot Lakeland big-time from floor, per Lakeland box score)

Concordia-Chicago 63, Benedictine 61. (Despite 30 pts from Benedictine's Curtis, the Eagles still lose. Benedictine had 30 turnovers to CUC's 21. IL Eagle squad had a last chance to tie it but a M Headen steal sealed the win for the Cougars (play-by-play acct off CUC's website).

Edgewood at Marian, ppd.

Alverno at Rockford, ppd.

12/05-08/07 Women's NAthCon Finals:

12-05:  Aurora 74, Alverno 57. (Aurora shot the nets to shreds--figurately speaking--in first half, per Inferno release).

             Concordia-WI 55, Edgewood 52.
             Rockford 67, Concordia-Chicago 57.
Lakeland 63, MSOE 51. (Muskies' Keiper hit 8 3-pointers. Caught this one in person and it was tighter than the final score indicated until the last 5 minutes. At that point Lakeland got to the line and hit free throws and got several offensive rebounds late to put it away.)

WLC 70, Benedictine 45.  :o ??? (Asked WLC's announcer about this one, he said IL Eagle's Curtis was held to 11 points and Benedictine had an off night shooting. I knew the Warriors wanted to make a better showing after being blown out down there last season, but I wasn't expecting this kind of final).

12-06:  Marian 70, Maranatha 68.

12-08:  Aurora 68, Benedictine 59.
            Concordia-WI 55, Marian 42.
            Lakeland 73, Maranatha 43.
            Edgewood 68, MSOE 46.

Concordia-Chicago 69, Alverno 55. (Saw this one live and the Cougars were hot from 3-pt range in the first half.)

WLC 80, Dominican 68. (Despite a 31-point night from Dominican's Jessica Salinas, the Warriors win because WLC was hitting their 3's when they had to have them and they broke the Stars' press several times for lay-ups. The Stars cut a double digit defict down to 3 early in the second half but got no closer. Watch out for Dominican, however. I wouldn't be surprised if that squad improved several notches in the NAthCon standings this season.)

12/11 NAthCon Women's Final:

12/15/07 Women's NAthCon Finals:

Edgewood 64, Dominican 51 (Scheele had 28 pts, Stars' Salinas held to 10--per Edgewood box score.)

Maranatha 59, Alverno 52 (Inferno cut Crusader lead to 2 with less than 3 minutes to play, but 'Natha held on for the win at home.)

Elmhurst 92, WLC 60 (ouch!)

Aurora 77, MSOE 59. (Saw this game live. Aurora used a press most of the first half, which lead to several MSOE turnovers and the Spartans end up getting a win on the road.)

WLCALUM83

12/14-18/07 Women's NAthCon Finals:

12/14-15/07 (Not mentioned in last post):

12/14:    Milligan 76, Marian 57. (Sabers had 27 turnovers in that one-per Marian release).

12/15:   Rockford 60, Lakeland 56  (Regents' Butler had 25 points. Rockford hit their FT's down the stretch to get the win on the road, per Lakeland press release).

Marian 79, Marygrove 47 (Sabers had 69 rebounds and outscored Marygrove 50-24 in 2nd half, per Saber press release.)

12/16:  UW-Oshkosh 69, Lakeland 55 (Lady Titans outshot Muskies from the field, a 3-minute Lakeland scoring drought late in first half proved costly--per Muskie press release).

12/17:   Benedictine 80, Clarke 60. (IL Eagles' Hardy poured in 23 points-NAthCon squad pulled away in 2nd half--per Benedictine's release).

12/18:   Alverno 78, Silver Lake 56. (Inferno's Allen had 27 points in this game per Alverno release).

          Carthage 71, Aurora 46

Elmhurst 86, MSOE 47 (At least WLC's not the only NAthCon team Elmhurst has blown out this season-- :-X)
