1/3/08 Women's NAthCon finals:

U of Chicago 93, MSOE 45 (Rout!) (Maroons had a hot shooting night, per MSOE press release).

1/04-05/08 Women's NAthCon Finals:

1/04:  Aurora 64, North Central IL 54.

1/05:  Alverno 79, Mount Mary 58. (Inferno held opposition to 4 field goals in 1st half per Alverno press release.)

1/08/08 Women's NAthCon Finals:

Rockford 57, Aurora 52 (Regents had 9 steals and outrebounded the Spartans, per Rockford box score).

Edgewood 61, Loras 52 (A 15-2 Eagle scoring run with approx 8 minutes left in 2nd half was the difference in this one, per Edgewood press release)

Dominican 74, Benedictine 62  :o ??? (Nothing available on either web-site, seems like the IL Eagles have either really been hot or really been cold of late.)

Concordia-WI 43, Lakeland 41 (A Pearl Wallace lay-up was the game winning hoop for the Falcons with 11 seconds left. Lakeland went into a scoring drought the last 10 1/2 minutes of the game- per Muskie press release).

WLC 80, Alverno 32  :) (Alverno scored the opening hoop, then saw WLC go on a 22-0 run early. Inferno only scored 9 first half points. We'll find out soon enough how good a motivator Inferno Coach Duckworth is after that kind of result.)

The Warriors get MSOE on the road next, and this poster doesn't figure that will be too easy a game. WLC will have to 1) slow Dana Guthrie down, 2) keep shooting well, 3) if there's a large pro-MSOE crowd at the game, take the crowd out of it early.

1/10/08 Women's NAthCon Finals:

MSOE 61, Maranatha 57 (Caught this one in person. Lady Raiders get off the schneid by coming up big from beyond the arc in the second half. MSOE led by as many as 9 points, the Crusaders cut it to 3 at one point but couldn't get over the hump. Maranatha wasn't hitting from outside much the whole game).

Lakeland 61, Beloit 56 (A late Muskie scoring run was the difference here, per Lakeland press release).

1/11-12/08 Women's NAthCon Finals:

1-11:  Stephens (MO) 75, Alverno 68 (In a game of runs, Stephens got in the last--and most decisive one, a 9-0 spurt late in 2nd half to get a road win-per Inferno press release)

1-12:  Concordia-WI 80, Aurora 40  :o :o ??? ??? (Wasn't expecting that kind of blowout!)

Edgewood 70, Benedictine 63 (WI Eagles come back from 17-point deficit to get this win. Tamika Curtis scored 31 points, Megan Scheele 30, per Edgewood press release).

Concordia-Chicago 79, Lakeland 72 (Muskies' shooting went cold in 2nd half and the Cougars were able to overcome an 8-pt halftime deficit-per Lakeland press release).

Rockford 71, Maranatha 59 (Regents' Butler had 29 points. Rockford raced out to a 40-22 halftime lead-per Regent box score).

Dominican 92, Marian 68  :o ??? (Stars' Trent had 31 points-Marian shot 34% from the field for the entire game and trailed by as many as 25 points-per Saber press release).

WLC 75, MSOE 59  :) ;) :D (A WLC 16-5 scoring run in the second half was the difference here, per MSOE press release).

1/19/08 Women's NAthCon Finals:

Marian 80, Alverno 70 (Sabers' Moody had 30 points, Inferno cut Marian's lead to 4 with less than a minute to play, but the Sabers hit their free-throws to seal it, per Alverno press release).

Aurora 62, Maranatha Baptist 44

Benedictine 83, MSOE 34 (rout!) (IL Eagles' Curtis was on the floor for only 18 minutes of action, per Ben press release).

Concordia-WI 78, Dominican 64 (Falcons shot 53% in first half, and outrebounded the Stars, per Dominican box score).

Rockford 65, Edgewood 56 (Regents' Butler had 31 points-Eagles' Scheele had 20, but cold Eagle shooting in 2nd half was a factor here, per Edgewood press release. With the victory, the Regents move into sole possession of first place in the NAthCon).

Brace yourselves for the next one, folks

(Long pause for effect. . . )

Lakeland 100, WLC 94  4 OT's (Warriors' Dillon missed a last-second 3-pointer in regulation--Lakeland's Dennewitz hit a tying jumper with 2 seconds left in the 1st OT, A Dillon lay-up forced OT 3, A Dillon jumper at the buzzer forced OT 4, and then a 7-1 run by Lakeland finally put this marathon to an end. WLC's Miller, Dillon and Lindert combined for 71 of the Warriors' points. Paulsen and Dennewitz had 30 and 23 points, respectively, for Lakeland. Warriors had 4 players foul out. Source is box score off WLC's site.)
