1/4/10 final:  Alverno 76, Edgewood 57 (Diederich had a double-double --18 pts, 11 rebounds, 4 Inferno players scored in double figures-Alverno outshot the WI Eagle squad 55% to 36% from the floor and aftter Alverno was up 14 with 4 1/2 min. left in 2nd, Edgewood made a bit of a run, but Diederich and a couple other Alverno players hit their FTs late to seal this one, per Inferno stats.)

Just Bill, is this the first time Alverno has ever beat Edgewood?

EDIT: Not to take anything away from Alverno, but the game story says the Eagles were missing four players to injury.

Alverno 54, MSOE 49 (Allen --17 pts--led 3 Inferno players in double figures, Inferno also had a 45-30 rebounding advantage on the night--MSOE's Bertram appeared but had 1 rebound, 1 foul and was 0-1 from the floor --again, the Inferno's Kochanowski hit a coule of key FTs late--per Alverno stats.)

CUW 79, Dominican 64 (4 Falcons scored in double figures, Wallace had another double-double-- CUW used an 11-0 scoring run between the 13 and 10 minute marks of the 2nd half to take control and held on, per Dominican stats)

1/9/10 final:  Alverno 61, Lakeland 55 (1 sec left, 2nd half)  Coming out of the locker room trailing by 15, the Inferno offense erupts for 47  2nd half pts, with Allen & McComb getting hot from the floor enabling Alverno to overtake the Muskies--(on Lakeland's home floor yet!--per Lakeland stats).

Benedictine 61, Marian 36 (IL Eagles broke out to a 35-14 lead at half by holding the Sabers to 20% shooting from the floor-Sabers got no clser than 17 pts after that--per Marian press release)

Rockford 61, Concordia-Chicago 56 (Curry paced 3 Regent players in double-figures with 18 pts--Rockford's clutch FT shooting over last 1 1/2 minutes was the difference here, per Regent box score-PBP acct)

Dominican 85, Monmouth 74 (Stars connect on school record 15 3 pointers-Betts--24 pts to pace 4 Star players in double figures--per Star press release

WLC 81, Dominican 57 (Warriors raced out to a 19-pt halftime lead, which Stars had cut to 10 at one point, then Dillon and Allister hit some 3s to extend WLC's lead again--WLC--Johnson a double-double--16 pts 10 rebounds, Warriors had a 48-24 rebounding advantage--per Dominican box score.)

Rockford 70, Dominican 61 (M Lawler a double-double  16 pts, 15 rebounds  --Regents broke out to a 15-pt lead in 2nd half-Stars cut it to 6, but got no closer. Regents outshot them 44 to 33% from floor-per Dominican stats)

CUC 70, Marian 49 (Cougars hit 13 3s on the day- Schwab burying 7 of them, Schwab  scored a team high 27 to lead 4 CUC players in double-figures-a 14-0 Cougar scoring run midway thru 1st half broke this one open-per CUC box score & PBP acct)

WLC 73, Benedictine 70 (Warriors led by 7 pts on several occasions in 2nd half, only to have the Eagles overtake them briefly--except for down the stretch when Allister and Neuberger got several baskets and the Warriors hit their FTs to seal it--WLC had 5 players in double figures to offset Brenn's 21-pt night)--WLC stats

MSOE 70, CUC 62 (After trailing by 17 pts at halftime, the Cougars made a rally, but fell short-- Raiders' Guthrie--29 pts and Cayo a double double -- 14 pts 14 rebounds --per MSOE stats)
