This posters' take on the two vital NAthCon challenge games:

I expect Edgewood to be more than ready for Alverno this time-the longer the Inferno's Diedrich stays out of foul trouble the better Alverno's chances. Allen and McComb have been consistent scorers all season. Going with Eagles at home.

MSOE's Guthrie didn't play in the first match-up vs. the Regents, per PBP acct, though Rockford led virtually all of the 2nd half, it was still a 1-pt game with over 2 minutes to play before the Regents' charity stripe shooting sealed that win for them.  M Lawler & Curry vs. Cayo & Guthrie (pt production) should be interesting. (possible X-factors, MSOE's other 3-point shooters, should they come up big. This one's too close to call.

Final:  Rockford 62, MSOE 59 (Rockford closed out this game with a 15-8 scoring run over the last 6 1/2 minutes, --Raiders committed 23 turnovers and Rockford was 18-24 at thee FT line compared to MSOE's 6-10 per MSOE stats)

1st round NAthCon tournament pairiings are as follows:

#8 MSOE @ #1 Concordia WI:  (Falcons shot poorly in their Challenge Game loss. They like to go the "divide and conquer" route with their point production-MSOE's got a shot if CUW gets off to another slow start and Cayo stays out of foul trouble-can't see CUW losing at home).

#7 Rockford @ #2 WLC:  (Potential "trap game" for the Warriors, if they can run on Rockford and their beyond the arc shooters are hitting, they'll be in good shape, but with Curry, the Lawlers & Co, Rockford won't go down easy.) WLC at home in a tight one.

#6 Alverno @ #3 Lakeland:  (Earlier matchup, Inferno trailed by 15 at halftme on the road, and came back and won-the longer Diedrich stays out of foul trouble, the more interesting this game figures to be--who does Alverno assign their best defensive player (Sorgi) to? Pick--Lakeland
 
#5 Edgewood @ #4 Benedictine:  (Going with Edgewood, only because the WI squad doesn't rely on the 3s like Benedictine does--although if Bren has another big game point-wise and her beyond the arc-shooting teammates are hitting, the squad from the Land of Lincoln can take this one).
