Muskies win a tough fought game between Alverno, this game was back and forth all game, many lead changes.  LC digs deep late with some good defensive stops and clutch free throw shooting to put it away.

Going to be an interesting game Thursday between LC and undefeated Maranatha.

12/6 In-Conference guesses:

CUW/MSOE:  Going with CUW.
MBBC/Lakeland:   Muskes win a tight one at home. Maranatha can take this if they get a lot of points off of turnovers and stay even on the glass.
Alverno/Edgewood:  WI Eagle squad at home (figuring Tobin will stay out of foul trouble.) Another close one here.

Halftime:  Benedictine 29, Goshen 21

WLCALUM83

Final: Benedictine 71, Goshen 53  (Hunzinger & Joseph both had double-doubles and the Eagles had a 52-35 rebounding advantage.)

The LC Muskies get an OT win over MBBC tonight. Muskies almost let this one get away with some poor execution with the lead late but got the W.

12/7-8/12 guesses:

12/7:  WLC/Millikin:    Millikin

12/8:  WLC/Westminster:  WLC
Benedictine/Rockford:   (Joseph's been on a hot run the last couple of games, don't see why that shouldn't continue,)
                   IL Eagles.

          Edgewood/MSOE:    Edgewood
Maranatha/CUW:     Falcons (they even up in a tight one after taking an unexpected loss on the road from MBBC last season )
Lakeland/Marian:    Lakeland in a tight one. Marian can take this if the Sabers are hitting their 3s and Muske talls aren't dominating on the glass.)
           Dominican/Aurora:   Dominican

WLC/Millikin:  Millikin has faced strong competition....Have to go with the Big Blue here.

12/8:  WLC/Westminster:  WLC spilits the weekend games.
          Benedictine/Rockford:  BU
          Edgewood/MSOE: Edgewood
          Maranatha/CUW:  CUW
           Lakeland/Marian: Lakeland
Dominican/Aurora: Dominican in a tight one.

Lakeland outscores Marian in the second half by 19 to win on the road, couple stat lines that stick out, out of Marians 17fg made 15 of them were 3pt fg (15 of 37, 40%) and Marian shot ZERO free throws for the entire game.  Also LC outrebounded Marian 48-31 which was expected

CUW, shot 28% from the field, while Marantha shot 45%.  12% from 3pt land for CUW.  It appears the only thing that kept them in the game was the large difference at the free throw line (16-20 for CUW, only 5-10 for Maranatha

North Division could end up being a pretty tight race to the finish, going to be interesting

Huge week for Lakeland going 3-0 after a rough start to the season.

This could be due to them riding the back of Eisner all week, a double-double in all three games inluding a 22 point 21 rebound effort agianst Maranatha on Thursday night....Player of the Week?
