1/19 Matchups

Dominican at Concordia Wisconsin: CUW has no trouble at home.

Aurora at Marian: Spartans are a little more consistent than the Sabres right now.

Benedictine at MSOE: Congrats to the Raiders on win #1 of the season. Benedictine denies them a second win here.

Rockford at Lakeland: Lakeland should win this but.....

Wisconsin Lutheran at Edgewood: This very well could be a trap game for the Warriors but I'll take them at the Edgedome.

Pretty much sums it up perfectly

I'll go with:

CUW
Aurora
Benedictine
Lakeland      (I don't think Muskies' shooting woes will continue. Rockford can take this if Regents can run on the Muskies and get points off turnovers)

Edgewood     (Putting my head above my heart. Believe it or not, this squad has more depth than WLC- going 12 or 13 deep - this figures to be a tight one)

Haven't seen Rockford play this year but if they have athleticism then they will probably give LC some fits.

Excited to see the WLC/EC game, for sure the game of the day

Benedictine/MSOE about to get underway:

WLCALUM83

Half:  Benedictine 29, MSOE 23

WLCALUM83

#1165
Final:  Benedictine 54, MSOE 45  (Raiders jumped out to an early 16-7 lead before IL Eagles started asserting themselves on the glass. In the second half, they were able to get a boatload of steals and tire MSOE out)

One other final of note:  Rockford knocks off Lakeland 70-61

Now to see if Edgewood gave them some help--

Final:  WLC 58, Edgewood 50  (much closer than that, however, Warriors hit their FTs late to get thru this one).

I haven't had much time to look at the box score for the WLC/Edgewood game (Had to work Jazz fest for school and the power going out for several hours last night), but it seems that WLC had some turnover issues in that game as well. Shavon Dillion had a big game in that one as well.

1/22/13 docket:

Lakeland/Maranatha:  Crusaders in a tight one.
Edgewood/Alverno:     IL Eagles take out their frustration on the Inferno after seeing potential victory slip away yesterday.
MSOE/CUW:               CUW
Benedicitne/Dominican:   Benedictiine  (unless Dominican has an incredibly hot day shooting from outside.)
CUC/Aurora:                   CUC
Rockford/WLC                 Warriors (need to take better care of the ball than they did vs. Edgewood).

Rockford/WLC                 Warriors (need to take better care of the ball than they did vs. Edgewood).

Lets see...

Chicago at Marian: Both teams have had disappointing seasons to this point. I have to go with the Maroons on this one.

Lakeland at Maranatha: Unless the Muskies make a quick turnaround very soon they will be on the outside looking in when it comes conference tournament time. I'll agree this will be a close game as well.

MSOE at Concordia Wisconsin: CUW keeps winning and continues to lead the North.

Edgewood at Alverno: Edgewood saw a potential upset win evaporate late against WLC. Things may not get much easier for them as they take on a defensive minded Alverno squad. Taking the Inferno in a tight one.

Benedictine at Dominican: Benedictine gets to .500 on the season against a Stars team that struggles to play defense.

Concordia Chicago at Aurora: Concordia Chicago makes it five straight wins.

Rockford at Wisconsin Lutheran: Warriors manage to escape Madison with a win after struggling with turnovers during the game. They have to do better at the charity stripe this time around unlike when these two teams met in Rockford a few weeks ago. I'll take the Warriors at home here.
