Would be quite an upset if MSOE holds on on the road.

Final:  CUC 69, Aurora 54

Lakeland stays alive in the North, CUC's hot run has turned the South into a 3-team race, should WLC slip. (I don't expect either Rockford or Aurora to get hot)

Captain_Joe08

I agree the South race is going to be something to watch. I don't think Benedictine or Concordia Chicago will be able to catch WLC but who gets second will be a fun race to watch.

WLC can play defense even when they are not having their best day on the offensively. Dillion turned it on in the second half after she picked up a Technical foul (not sure for what) but after that she scored 14 points of her 22 points.

That win last night by Wisconsin Lutheran clinched them a spot in the conference tournament.

If my math is correct here...

Concordia Wisconsin clinches a spot with a win or a Lakeland loss.

1/24-1/26 Matchups

1/24

Alverno at Maranatha: Alverno takes that next step to clinching their spot in the conference tournament.
Wisconsin Lutheran at Benedictine: Wisconsin Lutheran puts some more distance between them and Benedictine.

1/25

Concordia Wisconsin vs Concordia (MI): Don't think that the Falcons match up that well against the tenth ranked Cardinals.

Concordia Chicago vs Concordia (NE): A bigger mismatch awaits the Cougars against the #2 in the NAIA D2 Basketball poll.

1/26

MSOE at Aurora: I think Aurora will win, but I won't be surprised if MSOE walks away with a win here with their recent play.

Edgewood at Dominican: Edgewood stops their slide with a big win.

Maranatha at Rockford: Rockford could give Maranatha fits with their athleticism, but I think the Crusaders find a way.

Alverno at Benedictine: Should be a good game to watch...Alverno in a close one.

Lakeland at Wisconsin Lutheran: Even though Lakeland is a bit down, they are still a dangerous team that could be a big spoiler for other conference teams. I still have nightmares of last year's second half at the REX when Lakeland went roughshod on the Warriors to snap WLC's 23 game conference winning streak. I think that WLC will win this game but they can't afford to have a bad game here.

1/24:

Inferno/Crusaders:   I, too, will go with Alverno (Maranatha needs to shoot beter from beyond the arc)
Warriors/IL Eagles:   Benedictine's got depth similar to that of Edgewood. Going with WLC in a tight one.

1/26:

Aurora/MSOE:    Spartans in a tight one.
Edgewood/Dominican:  Edgewood
Maranatha/Rockford:    Rockford in an upset.
Alverno/Benedictine:    Benedictine (this is another one that can go either way).
Lakeland/WLC:            Lakeland hit a boatload of 3's in the win over Maranatha. Methinks WLC's D will make the difference here.

WHAT!!!!!!!!!!

Halftime score had Inferno leading 12-9
Shooting pct.  for entire game:  Alverno 20%, Maranatha 31% (Crusaders did shoot 52% from floor in 2nd half).

(If memory serves correctly, when Edgewood played MBBC on the road last year,  halftime score was just about as low on that one, too).
