12/15 Final:

Rockford 76, Maranatha 61.  :o ??? (Per Rockford's press release, Regent women shot 50% from 3-point range.)

Alverno/Dominican yet to come in.

Rockford gets WLC women next--middle of next week.  :-X :-\

12/15 Final:  Dominican 71, Alverno 59.

                    Per Dominican box score:

Alverno had 3 players in double figures, Dominican at least 4. (Inferno's Miller 4-10 from field).

Stars outshot Inferno 52% to 33% per box score.

Tomorrow this poster finds out if Edgewood  (thin roster and all) can pull an upset on Aurora.  :o ???

Maranatha and Rockford were tied 59-59 with under three minutes to go. Maranatha led most of the game although there were plenty of lead changes. During the last two minutes, the 'Saders imploded. I think they threw more passes to RC players than to their own teammates. #22 from Rockford was impressive. Maranatha has talent, but might be too young to win this year.

Final:  Aurora 82, Edgewood 75. Missed FT's killed the Eagles, they were outshot from the charity stripe 74% to 54% per box score from Edgewood's site.

Final:  WLC 60, Concordia, WI 42.  :) ;) :D

(Thought this would be closer, given the Falcons were picked to win the conference).

Per CUW announcers the Falcons just plain came out flat and had a below average first-half.

Last 12/16 NAC Final:

Benedictine 62, Lakeland 48.

12/19 Final:

Concordia-Chicago 69, Marian 66.

Per Marian box score, CU-Chicago had nearly twice as many FT attempts as Marian (26 to 15, respectively).

Cougars had 5 players in double figures scoring-wise.

Non-Conference final:

Westminster 67, Concordia-WI 64 (Despite a 48-pt 2nd half, the Falcons still fall short).

Final:  WLC improves to 4-1 in NathCon with a win over Rockford, 67-44.  :o ???  22-4 WLC scoring run did Regents in. (Didn't expect it to be that easy, with Rockford having knocked off Maranatha for one, and the Regents' slight height advantage on paper, for two.) Per announcers' post game accounts, Ten Pas and Laete came up big on the scoring end.

WLCALUM83

12/19 Final:  Benedictine 70, Alverno 46.

Hey what happened to the "shaq" of the NCAC womens basketball at DU, Christine Demogirgas...She didn't play agaisnt Alverno and isn't on the current roster...Anyone know anything?

WLCALUM83

Non-conference final (12/20):  Concordia-WI 58, Roger Williams 50. (RW had 2 starters foul out, CUW's Ensign also fouled out. Ruppe came up big offensively--rebounds and FT's---toward the end).

WLCALUM83

12/21 Non-conference final:

Benedictine 58, MSOE 57.

(Props to MSOE's C Chappell on reaching the 1,500 point milestone!)  :) ;) :D :) ;) :D 8) 8) 8)

Given that WLC hasn't played Benedictine, Lakeland or Edgewood yet, I'd expect the Warriors to slip a few spots. Jury is out on Benedictine (one of that squad's better guards just got hurt). Concordia, WI, Lakeland, Aurora and Edgewood should move up. Marian also could be a factor.  Too early to tell if more than one of these squads go to Nationals (will have to come darn close to running the table, given even the best teams have 3 losses already).  :-X :-\ :-X :-\ :-X :-\ :-X :-\ :) ;) :D :) ;) :D

Final:  Southwestern, TX 73, Concordia-Chicago 62. (Cougars 7-24 from FT line--had several more offensive rebounds--SW's overall depth may have eventually worn them down).

The Cougars' path (on paper) doesn't get any easier. They get ranked McMurry (and their star player Richardson) tomorrow.
