Any chance that anyone from the NAC will get an at-large bid?

Just Bill

Not very likely.

I think had Concordia Wis. won the tournament they probably would have gotten in at 22-6.  With their loss to Edgewood, I think the third Pool B spot goes to the Landwark ruuner-up Juniata.

This poster's summary of WLC's season:

I'm glad for the 2 seniors on the squad, the feather they got (NAthCon post-season tournament title) was not quite as large as what they had in mind, but given that one starting forward missed the entire season with a torn ACL, and the leading scorer was out several games with a thumb injury, no one's complaining much.  :) ;) :D

I'd like to give a "Coaches' Honorable Mention" award to Concordia-Chicago's Tamlyn Tills--

To go from missing the 2006-07 playoffs altogether to an '07-08 playoff run that  narrowly misses getting to the NAthCon tournament final-quite an accomplishment, IMHO.

This posters' latest take:

Suppose a genie were to pop up out of a bottle and promise to grant 2 wishes to all NAthCon coaches whose teams missed the conference playoffs, here's how things would go (assume all players who don't graduate in May return for next season, and barring any other unforeseen developments.)

MSOE's Coach Ott: "My first wish would be for at least one tall player to help out J Bertram underneath, second would be for more depth, period."

Alverno's Coach Duckworth:  "First, a deeper bench:  Second, a player taller than 5'10" would be great to land."

Maranatha Coach Morrison:  "First, a consistent 3-pt shooting threat:  Second, players to step up and fill the void that will be left after Colleen Goff's playing days end."

Marian Coach Neumann:  "Someone to step in and fill B Perez's shoes: (Don't know what the 2nd would be).

Dominican:  "Have our "go to" players come through just a bit more in the clutch:  Second, just more of that "can do" attittude that they showed last season.

A poster (wisconsinball) on the WIAC boards mentioned this link and listed WIAC recruits off it.

(P. S. It'll take a while to get used to Marian's name change, eh?)
