Congrats to Schweers! Scored 34 to break 1,000 pt mark for career. She now has 1,017 points in only 48 games!!

Congrats Schweers that is an amazing accomplishment keep it up. Congrats to GC also for their game this weekend it was a good one.

Congrats to Greensboro, #20 in the polls.

I was a little surprised to see York(PA.) "SOS" numbers, I thought that number would have been a little higher considering they are #10 in the polls.  I only mention York(PA) because I know one of the players there.  :P

Schweers is talented no doubt.  I think 48 games and 1,017 points is impressve for any level.  Except the NBA, players can do that in 10 games, lol.

However when you average 36.5 minutes per game (#4 on the list all time)  I think someone of Schweers ability, 1017 points is very reachable in 48 games.  Karen Barefoot, is #2 and #6 on the list (mpg)  I believe that might have something to do with her school record in points.

If I did the math right Schweers should break Barefoot's record after 97-98 games.  I guess within the last few minutes of the 97th game.

If my math is right if she plays as many games as Barefoot did, Schweers should finish with 2288 points.

PSBBG - great math! That's what  I miss from your posts!!

CNU85- You know it wouldn't take me long before math appeared.  However, I do sense a little bit of sarcasm  ;D

Sarcasm? Me? I have no idea what you're talking about!!  :P

CNU85

I pieced it together PSBBG...I mean formerly PSBBG.....

you sensed sarcasm - but it wasn't there....must be the new hormones. Glad the operation was a success and you are no longer PSBBG!

I hope someone from The Daily Press reads this. Your coverage of CNU basketball SUCKS!! Tracy McGrady's knee received more coverage than CNU. The main office for the Daily Press is just down Warwick Blvd from CNU. Technically, CNU is the only home team for The DP. I know there is HU and W&M - but they are in other cities. I had to hunt for CNU Lady Captain's news. Obituaries have more info. HELLO - CNU Lady Caps have an All-American!!!!

HELLO - CNU men's team is in first place in the conference with a huge game coming up against Averett.

CNU had great coverage with Jennifer Williams on the job. Put her back covering CNU athletics!!!!

Well,  I guess you will just have to create CNU blogs to get the coverage you want.

At my current location, newspaper staff is being cut.  They have also moved to just an online version of the paper.

Maybe the DP is trying to save a few bucks.

Are the games still well attended?

CNU85

yep games are still well attended. However the headcount per game is down 1 since the DP college reporter doesn't know where the campus is located!

HSC85

CNU85,

There is a possible three way tie for fourth at 10 - 8.  If all three teams split do you know the next tie breaker to determine 4-5-6?  Congrats to CNU on the road win at Ferrum.  They had a good weekend with long road trip.

CNU85

Thanks HSC. Hey, I'm not sure about the tie breaker rules. I've always been one to let the season finish and then let the computers tell me the final order. It's easier on my brain that way!!

Mr. 85:

Will you be at the gc cnu game?  I am driving the trip down (yes down I a north of Newport News) to CNU. You might finally get to meet the infamous former PSBBG. Where can I park, at least?

CNU85

Sorry man,

I just signed on and saw your post. I missed the games this weekend. Too bad, cuz the GC game tonight seemed like a really good one!

Maybe next weekend when GC makes the semi-finals?

USASouth Tuesday Games:

Game of the Night:
Methodist(PK)@Ferrum:  Only one team can make it to the conference semifinals.  Both teams have been there the last few years.  I think the higher the score Ferrum wins.  The lower the score Methodist wins.  If the game remains in the low 70's high 60's Methodist really has a shot.  I think Ferrum is looking to rebound after the loss to NCWC. My Pick: Methodist

Averett(+2)@Shenandoah:  I think this game will be low scoring in combined points.  Averett does travel to Winchester and will face a rowdy crowd.  If Averett is able to control the tempo they have a very good chance of winning this one.  I don't think either team will shoot very well.  My Pick: Averett

Peace(+8)@CNU:  CNU played very well this past weekend and are looking to continue that this weekend.  Peace has played very well at times.  Nearly beating Methodist twice.  If Peace shoots well tuesday this could be a very interesting game.  I think Schweers will carry CNU to victory. My Pick: CNU

NCWC(+17)@Greensboro:  NCWC has played Greensboro tough both times.  NCWC led most of the way in Rocky Mount. GC just has too much height, depth, experience, speed and all the intangables working in their favor. My Pick:Greensboro
