Greensboro beat Ferrum, so Maryville and Ferrum have lost twice in the conference (each to LaGrange) and Greensboro has lost three in conference.  Should be interesting!

LC women's bb team has had an amazing season considering where they were at the beginning of the season.  I like there chances tonight.  Go Panthers!

Scots, basically down to six players, not including two starters and the conference player of the year, roll into the finals.  What a great effort!  I figured LaGrange would be too much, but it was not even close.

Ferrum on their floor?  Now that would be something!

Ben Stein Fan

Congrats to Ferrum...best team in the conference this year.  Good luck in the tournament.

If Maryville gets an at large bid, it would be a great reward for an interesting and successful year.  I would be more excited about it if the Scots had all its key pieces healthy.  Grit and hustle and good coaching go a long way, but you need the right players.

Great win against Capital for Ferrum.  I hope Ferrum goes far into the tournament.

Congratulations to Mackenzie Puckett and Shey Smith for making All-South from the USASouth!!

And congratulations again to Puckett, picked by D3Hoops as pre-season All American!

Maryville beat #16 and undefeated Transylvania in Transy's gym and are 7-1, with the loss to Thomas More, which is ranked near the top.  Maybe the Scots are going to be good.

Sorry for the delay this season. Here's the nonconference game stories on the four home games for Maryville College women so far this season.

For those who have had troubles with our website in the past, we upgraded at end of last basketball season to a new provider that works much better. Its a paywall but the first 20 stories in a given month are free to nonsubscribers.

Last night's game we also got a great interview with first year Sewanee coach Tom Campbell on some of his Knoxville area players, and about his thoughts following Sewanee's conf game with Centre, where he was an asst, over weekend.

Thanks, BB.  Not much going on in this board....

Scots seem pretty solid and deep enough to compete even if someone like Mackenzie is out or having a bad day.

Piedmont ladies playing well so far. Need to get two wins this weekend to keep pace with the Scots.

Thanks, bb.

Lions had a bad day at Ferrum.

Greensboro's reward for winning the USASouth tournament is to play Thomas More at Thomas More!!   Yikes!  Maryville came as close to beating TM this year as anybody did, so Go Pride!
