good to see the lady monarchs get a w against the pride today...wish the men could have made it a clean sweep, but the ladies are on a nice little roll lately...had they been able to pull off the double ot thriller vs. cnu on saturday, they'd be tied for 2nd in the conference - as it is, they've won 7 of 8...not too bad

Your probably thinking that your going to be the one seed in the conference. Think again. your schedule is one of the hardest left. when you have to travel to shenandoah and CNU your probably lose at least one or even both.

This basketball team from ferrum has strength and has a secret weapon that no one knows about and when you see it just stay your be on the losing side.

Think that just because ferrum is a little school and doesn't have the power to be the best or even steal the conference tournament and or the conference championship?? Think again. The BOSS has all the tools even secret weapons that can bring a team down to nothing watch and see!!!!!!!

Congrats to the Lady Panthers on capturing the USA South regular season title. I was glad to see my Lady Capts take it to the Pride yesterday and be the No. 2 seed in the tourny. Now if they can only win a quarterfinal game and get to the semis this year. Since they have lost two years in a row in the quarters, I think they have the talent to reach the semis and being that its on their home floor, it could be a CNU/FC title game. But first things first, gotta win on Tuesday.

the monarchs had their "think pink" event last night...won big and raised over $2500 for the kay yow foundation...uniforms looked great - only change i would have made would be to replace the green & gold monarch logo with a black and white version - here is a game story and photo gallery

the team this year is a lot of fun to watch - you never know who is going to step up and be the scorer, but all 12 on the roster play significant minutes - they press for much of the game and move the ball well

CNU drops a tough one at home to Mary Baldwin....after the Squirrels recently defeated Methodist as well. Capts didnt play nor did they shoot particularly well either. Two toughies to close out the regular season, on the road at G'boro and Methodist. Two places they usually do not play very well. They are assured of a quarterfinal home game and can finish anywhere from first to fourth! Should be an exciting finish, just like the men.
