The team that beat Maryville and CNU is playing for the national championship.  At least we did not get beat by chumps.

CNU85

Congrats to Tia Perry. I met her parents a few years ago in the stands. Nice family!

Ok, is anyone out there, or is the USASouth women's board going to continue to be a dead zone?

Does not speak well for fan support for the players and coaches who work hard.

Meanwhile, nice start, Scots!

Clutch

how are the ladies at Piedmont going to do this year?

Saw where Puckett dropped 30 on Transy last week. Got to give her touch every possession.

Clutch, Piedmont ladies had a win last night over Agnes Scott and have gotten off to a good start. It is a little bit of a rebuilding year though. They are very young and kinda small. All in all I think they will be okay.

LaGrange College Panthers won the Zaxby's Charity Classic at Mississippi College today.  For those who don't know, LC's former coach resigned right before the start of the school year.  We only return 8 players from last year and zero incoming freshman.  The Panthers beat Mississippi College 76-73 in overtime and then beat Centenary College 86-66 this afternoon.

The Scots had a pretty good pre-Christmas, all on the road. Puckett has picked up where she left off and scores a lot of points.

Anybody else in the USASouth having a good start?

I wish we could get some discussion on this board. This has been one of the strongest conferences in the South Region the last two or three years. A league that got three teams in the NCAA tournament last year. Let's get some discussion going on this years teams. Who are the best teams in the league? Maryville, Peidmont, Huntingdon, Ferrum, Greensboro, Methodist, NC Wesleyan? Any predictions? Let's see if we can't spark some discussion on this board.

I know Ferrum/Maryville game could go either way but I would have not predicted a 25 point Ferrum victory at Maryville.

Ferrum must be a serious team...I did not see the Maryville game but that was a whipping like the Scots are not used to.

Scots play Greensboro and Methodist this weekend and that may help us analyze who is what.

scottiedoug

Really good game at Maryville with Scots finally putting Greensboro away.  Puckett is really good.  Greensboro is, too.  Methodist tomorrow and they come in 7 -1.  Too early to say if the league is good or just even within itself.

Either Methodist had a really bad day or Maryville is way better.  MU comes in at 7 - 1 and has no chance against the Scots.  Looks to me like a Maryville-Ferrum league.
