It would be a smart things for Lancaster and the NEAC to join forces togather because Lancaster isn't a strong program right now and the NEAC needs the members.

WNYHoops,   i am surprised you don't have DYC higher up then three since your a big fan of them.  I actually had a hard time chosing between Caz and DYC because i know how good a coach and a recuriter coach miller is.  THe only reason I picked Caz is because i know someone who is in there and I heard what they got for this year.

ANd i wouldn't put Wells that low, they have a bunch of JUCO players.  A couple that couldn't get into any other school.  Some of them had some good JUCO years.  They will beat up on some teams even some of the good teams.  But there attitudes will hurt them sometimes.

It should be an interesting year, everything is up in the air.  Can't wait to see the new rosters when they come out

WNYHoops

Well I would have DYC up a little higher and I actually think they have the talent to win the league. Charles Walker had a great summer from what I saw and Coach Miller has added some athletic kids around him. Their point guard play will be improved, but they lack a true low post threat. That is why I am hesitant to put them at the top of my list. A lot will depend on the rehab of Kowalski and how he comes back from a knee injury that had him playing at around 50% last season.

Well it should be an interesting year for DYC, i think they will be good.  I mean Caz won the league with no true center.  THis year they will have to do it again with out a real strong post game.  They return 2 of there three big men.  Tom Wilk there freshman transfered out because he lost his scholarship and couldn't afford caz.  They did get a freshman from a small school in central NY who is 6'5'.  Kid has a good offensive game and can run the florr but might not be ready for the college physical game.    Of course the league is pretty weak at the center position so i think if you get an ok center with some good guards you should be able to run through the league tournment.

Can you tell us who the kid is or where he went to school?

Yeah his name is Dustin McClure from DeRyuter High school

Wells has a Junior G that got asked to play at the U. IOWA....hes goooood.just dont no why he went to Iowa..i also forgot his name

Shooting Star

Do you mean "why he went to Wells" rather than Iowa?   Who else did Wells bring in?

bballfan44

I am not sure if I beleive that,  If the kid was good enough to go to the U. Iowa he would have got a ton of scholarship offers from small D 1 and D 2 schools.  And even if he went D 3 why would he go to wells,  there are cheaper and alot better D3 schools then wells.  and its a first year program.  No way

FutureD3playa

Wells also brought in some solid players...this year could be streaky..im thinking around .500...but next year watch out..you might be reallly surprised...the G from Chicago is pretty legit..prob playing SG instead of PG because of his ability to score..but hes the size of the PG

WNYHoops

I've been off the board for some time, but it sounds like Wells might be a player in this league. I did not know what to expect from a first-year program ... but apparently the coach has been working hard recruiting some big-time players. A guard from Chicago and a guy who had a chance to play in the Big 12?? I might have to adjust my predictions if that is true.

Somebody is going to have to explain how a legit DI guard from Chicago gets to Aurora NY.  Not saying it's impossible.  After all look at the University of New Englands roster.  Kids from Austin Tx in Biddeford, ME defies logic as well.

Morrisville will be joining the NEAC starting in the 2009-2010 season after a very short time in the SUNYAC.  They will be replacing the departing D'Youville.

Do you have a press release?

I think that Morrisville will thrive in the NEAC.  Better to have a thriving program than to get slaughtered each week!  The SUNYAC is strong!

If true (and I am only giving into my own obsessive-compulsive nature), then that helps keep the AQ for the NEAC in 2010-11.

FutureD3playa

does the winner of the NEAC automatically get a spot in the ncca tournament this year too?
