Their Poly website has an empty entry for coach... a moment of silence for Laddy...

Villa Julie 94
Chestnut Hill 92 (OT)

The Mustangs are headed back to the NCAA tournament.  And a big thank you to D3Hoops (specifically Gordon and Dave) for doing the game today.  I hope you guys enjoyed NEAC basketball.  What a great, hard fought game by both teams.

Raptormania!

Good luck to Villa Julie- show the committee the ludicrousness of admitting just one team from the NEAC. You can't spell "Complete and accurate breakdown of Division III teams in a tournament bracket" without "NEAC."

You're joking, right?

Hello NEAC ladies and gentlemen, we're collecting previews for each team in the tourney on one of the multiregional boards. If I get them by Friday I may even be able to stick them in one document for people to peruse. A fun little tourney resource of sorts. Would someone here be willing to do one for Villa Julie please? Thanks much!

April,

Unfortunately, Bard only played Villa Julie once, and on the road, so I don't feel qualified to write them up. However, the Villa Julie SID does lurk here- I'd recommend you shoot him a quick e-mail.

As an avid fan, I appreciate the work they already do so much, and I know they work endless hours with little appreciation. So, well, that would be lovely, but I'd feel bad asking an SID to do something in addition to what they are already doing! On the other hand, it would really stink for Villa Julie to be one of the few schools not represented!!! :( If he volunteers to do it... now, that's a whole different story. ;)

Actually, I think that any write-up done by Raptormania would be of utmost quality and would provide a panache that the previous write-ups have lacked.

I hope that  you will re-consider.

Thanking you in advance...  :)

"I hope that  you will re-consider."

Tell you what, Ralph- should any other teams from the Skyline Conference make the NCAA tournament next year with an at-large bid, I will write them up. I thank you as always for the compliment- you are to D3Hoops.com what former Bard standout Michael Mandlin was to college basketball in 2000-2001.

How do teams look for next year?  Anybody have an idea on how some of the teams are doing Recruiting wise?

WNYHoops

I'm not sure about everyone, but I believe D'Youville has a bunch of newcomers (they need them after last year's showing!). I have heard there are several JUCO's - a few from ECC and NCCC - along with some solid frosh coming in. The program is in a similar situation as when Coach Miller took it over the first time. They will get it going again before too long.

Ps - one of the JUCO's was a former DI signee and one of the top scorers in WNY High School history?? Can you guess who it might be?

I believe it, I like Coach Miller I think he did a good job with that team when he was their the first time.  He brought in some good players and won, so i believe he can do it again.

I heard BBC has been working hard all over the country to bring in even better guys to add onto an already good roster that he has.

Keuka added a 6'2' guard/ small foward from the rochester area who is pretty good.  Tough play who knows how to score so that is good for George who lost his best two players in lincoln and edwards.

Keystone might not do to well this off-season with the departure of there head coach.  He was a great coach and brought in great athletes.

Caz I heard has a real big kid coming in and some transfers and a couple 6'1', 6'2' kids.....I guess they won't be a team with 12 dudes under 5'11" anymore...lol.....it doesn't matter they still won't be any good.

Any body know about any other team

WNYHoops

Baptist Bible had a great team last year and returns almost everyone I believe. I saw them when they came to Buffalo and they were tough.

Keuka lost almost their entire starting lineup, so it might be rebuilding time for them. Caz always plays a fast style and is either hot or cold. They could beat good teams by 30 or lose to bad teams by 40. You never know what you could get with them.

Keystone losing their coach, I read that here on D3hoops, could hurt them in recruiting. But I think the one assistant did most of the coaching last year anyway as the head guy was on crutches behind the bench.
