Medaille @ Cazenovia
Cabrini   @ Penn State Berks
TCNJ       @ Keystone
Hartwick @ Keuka
Valley Forge @ Penn State Harrisburg
D'Youville @ Fredionia St

Lets see how the NEAC does tonight hopefully they can win a few more then they did over the weekend

bballfan44

Caz got blown out by 20 points.  they looked awful
they will be the bottom feeder of the NEAC.

bballfan44

Caz loses to Oswego By 29.  they were only down by 9at half.  played good the first half.  Oswego went on a run to start the second to run away with the game.

Sounds like Caz had a decent showing vs. Oswego ... at least in the first half. They are playing a tough schedule, but they are at home. Harrisburg seems to be putting up a ton of points. Not sure on the level of their competition, however. DYC with a big win at Fredonia last week. Charles Walker was huge down the stretch. Spartans trailed by 15 with 10 minutes to play then turned up the heat. Big game Thursday night in Buffalo as Keuka comes in for first league game of the season. Banks from Keuka is putting up big numbers (29 ppg.). I will be at the game to check out both teams.

It seems like PBU and Berks will struggle based on early scores. The rest is up for grabs!!

Keuka beats D'Youville 78-72.    Looks like it was a good tough game for both teams.  D'youville must have played some good D forcing 35 turnovers.

WNYhoops wondering if you went to the game and what you thought.

I saw the Kowalski didn't play.  Anybody know why?  he is a big part of their team and I think if he played they probably would have won.

WNYHoops

Interesting you should ask because I did go to the game last night. Very entertaining. Keuka jumped out fast in the first half mostly from the free throw line. I was very impressed with Keuka. I thought with all their losses to graduation they would be in major rebuilding mode. But they have some real players ... starting with the kid Raquan Banks, who came in averaging 30 ppg.

DYC did a nice job on him, Charles Walker in particular, and held him to 16 points. He was visibly upset and flustered throughout the game. He turned the ball over 12 times by the Spartans relentless D. They really put a lot of pressure on the ball. As I have mentined before, Derrick Ware is one of the best defenders in DIII basketball for putting pressure on the dribbler. But the Spartans killed themselves from the foul line. Missed 4 straight down the stretch after trimming the lead to 3 with the ball.

Kowalski was on the bench in street clothes ... on crutches. No idea how long he is out or even what the problem is. But you are right, with him they probably win  that game. Looking at early scores, I would think Keuka, Keystone, BBC and DYC will battle all season for the NEAC title. Caz seems to be the darkhorse. Berks, PBU and Harrisburg look to be a couple notches below.

bballfan44

Harrisburg beats BBC by 2.  Big shock to me didn't see that comeing.
Berks beat up on PBU
Caz beats clarkson by 12
Hobert beats Keuka by 30

bballfan44

Cazenovia beat Hobart 73-72.  Eric L. hits a lay-up with 4 second in the the game for the win.  Caz played great defense in the game to keep hobart thinking.  Latendress- 23: Sauer-17: Harris-15

NEAC standings-

1. Cazenovia (lost DYC)
2. BBC           (Lost Caz, PSU-Harr)
3. Keystone   (Lost DYC, PSU-Harr)
4. DYC           (Lost Keuka, PBU)
5. PSU-Harr   (Lost BBC, Keystone)
6. PSU-Berks (Lost BBC, Keystone)
7. Keuka        (Lost Caz, BBC)
8. PBU           (Lost Caz, Keystone, Berks 2)

League looks pretty open,  should be interesting coming down the stretch

bballfan44

Actually Kolowski plans on coming back this weekend.  If he joins the team health and his knee is better, they are the best team in the league in my opinion.  Keuka is a mess with out wunder, coach can't control anybody.  And stop Caz's three headed monster and you will win hands down.  Their big men stink.  Can't score, can't rebound, and can barely make it down the court.

big day in the neac...

baptist bible defeats DYC at home with a big performance from freshman greve, gotta wonder how much the travel affected DYC... but the big news is berks upsetting Caz at caz... is askew back for berks?  if not, that is an absolute shocker...

bballfan44

Cazenovia pulled out a big win against Harrisburg to move themselves back in to first place.  The league is close, and i think it is up in the air.  Should be a good month of basketball to see who gets the top 4 seeds to advance to the league tournment.

patriot41

what happened in the berks vs caz game?

bballfan44

Caz came out ugly in the first half.  They couldnt make a basket or defend a thing.  Berks came out and couldn't miss.  They shot 7-9 from the three in the first half.  shot 55% over in the first half and caz went in to the locker room by 11.  They brought it down to 6 but couldnt get any closer.  I think they might have been over looking berks, and were thinking about harrisburg.

Oh ans Askew is not back.  He is sitting ouut this year because he is going to be in school for 5 years and the team is going to be pretty good the next two years so he wanted to sit out so he could play

NYBB

it's good to see this conference still together.  that's all
