Though I must admit that I'm feeling a little freekish with almost four times more posts than you.

Yikes, only four?  You must be slipping, April.

Well you know those California girls - must be either the mall or the beach! ;D

Actually, it's more like work, hiking in all our beautiful national parks, meeting guys (and deciding that I didn't really like the California subspecies of the male homo sapien very much).... but mostly hanging out with my cousin, who was stationed at 29 Palms, 2.5 hours away from my house. The driving alone took an astronomical amount of my time. He is deploying to Iraq tomorrow though, so if I don't start obsessively watching the news and browsing the internet news sites like a nervous psychopath, I guess I'll have more time to post.  :-\

"...meeting guys (and deciding that I didn't really like the California subspecies of the male homo sapien very much)..."

Since I know you would NEVER stereotype or overgeneralize, I assume this means you have already checked them ALL out (or at least an adequately large random sample) - no wonder you have had no time for posting! ;) ;D

On a more serious note, good luck and God bless to your cousin.

Thanks. He's actually leaving pretty much right this second. If only they would let family be there for that.  :-\

I would never steriotypes ethnic groups... or several other classes of things. Californian men, at least Southern California men are this whole new weird catagory of humanity that is so far matching all the steriotypes with the same blazing speed as the SoCal women. It's like there's this massive conspiracy to be... the same. ::)

"the proud" - if a cookie can be proud, they probably are.

"for the marines" - I certainly don't doubt.

But "the few"??  Compared with the number of Marines in Iraq, I suppose that is true, but how many did you make???! ;D  [Good job!]

diehardfan

I'm not going to lie, I counted just because I was curious... it was 210. (Which is actually not the most cookies I've ever made in one sitting; when I made cookies for the Wheaton football team there were more. I've also gotten close to this when I've gone to Wheaton basketball games with a ton of posters I'm friends with.)

A few reserved for my coworkers and roommate, and the rest were shipped off along with a bunch of other stuff to Marines in three seperate locations in Iraq on Tuesday.  The funniest thing is that I bought organic milk juice boxes and sent those along too. The idea of cookies without milk is just wrong. Sure made the boxes heavy though!!!

The number of guys on all the boards that I regularly post on, who are drooling over the cookies is totally making me crack up. Personally, I was just extremely impressed with how good my macro on my new camera is. And since I unfortunately seem to be better known for my cookies than my ability to make cogent posts on d3sports, ::) I figured, what the heck and threw the pic up.

Well I'm more impressed with your cogent posts - but that may just be because I've never had a cookie (since you always just drove right by Ypsi, then tormented me with a picture of the exit sign)! :D

Seriously?  100 posts that quickly?  Those Indigenous Peoples you work for need to dig up some more stuff for you to do.
