If I am anything, I am a fate tempter. Given that whole belief in a God-who-will-protect-me-when-appropriate thing, I do a lot of silly things. So far I've made it through and have only lost three of my fingers. Makes it a little tougher to type though....

I'm still trying to figure out if I can pull a Larry Welton (Aurora player who gave his Tourney MVP to Wheaton's Tony Bollier) and give it to someone more deserving. 

You can be modest all you want, but who else is there our there more deserving than you?  You can't tell me you'd give it to any of us schmucks?

You guys are all safe now. I couldn't have planned it better myself. Hopeconvert is a Calvin grad who is now a Hope Fan. Given the intensity of that rivalry, there just was no way to top this.

Calvin fans are totally going to love this.

Speaking of milestones . . .

Since this is the place to post milestones, I'm posting Post #100 here.  A mere pebble among the boulders and mountains I see around me in here, but nonetheless, my cause to celebrate.  As Homer Simpson would say, "Woo-hoo!"  Or at least a mild "Yippee!"   

And sincere congratulations to Rhodes Scholar, Frank Uible, and diehardfan on your election to the Posting Hall of Fame!  Gives a "rookie" something to aspire to.
