hmmmm...do I sense a burgeoning black market in HOF membership cards?

Kind of like exit visas from Casablanca...

"Senor Collinge is the fat gent at the table."

But I must be frank, monsieur; it would take a miracle to get you into the HOF, and the WIAC has outlawed miracles.

However, I understand that there are two letters of admittance, letters that no one can question, not even Pat, that were taken from two murdered D3net broadcasters.  You might want to check in Ralph Turner's piano over at Ralph's Cafe McMurricain.  After all, everyone goes to Ralph's.   ;D

Membership cards can be forged pretty easily. Especially from the newbie who is so confused that she's scratching her head so hard she can't see straight.

I think the main problem is that PointSpecial wouldn't fit into any of our blazers.... they're all about a foot and a half in length too small for him. :)

Congratulations scotsbrod!

Thanks for the kind words.  In another 100 posts or so I hear rumors that I can repay such kindness with a different form of "k".  ;)

Seriously though, welcome.  The quirky fans among us like to post our randomness here... among outher places. You'll notice that there are some regulars that post nationally that never post milestones here... but that's just cause they're not cool enough. :D  The truly obsessed among us understand that our many posts are to be celebrated, as our lack of a life is actually really cool and not pathetic. Kidding of course! Most of us lead semi normalish lives... sort of....

I gave up on leading a "normal life" a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.  Besides, I went to a Division III school precisely because I wanted to surround myself with the quirky and "un-normal" people who also happen to be intelligent and passionate about their interests.  I consider it a pretty good compliment to be considered among such a crowd, and I suspect many of the people on these boards would, too.

...and the WIAC has outlawed miracles.

Hmmm... history says otherwise...

Just look at the WIAC tournament in 2001...

#8 Stout over #1 Whitewater by 41
#7 Platteville over #2 Stevens Point on a 30 foot heave
#6 Oshkosh over #3 River Falls...  RF up 3 with seconds left, and RF point guard whips the ball in the air to "seal" the victory... yet in RF's high school-sized gym, the ball hits the ceiling and Oshkosh nails a 3 at the buzzer to force OT, and Oshkosh pulls out the victory in OT.

#4 Eau Claire beats #5 Superior, the only higher seed to win in the first round.

Miracles can happen, even in the WIAC!

... but I agree, typically, there is a concrete, logical reason why things happen in the WIAC.   ;)

And about my posts... confusion may be a byproduct, but by no means is it ever, well, usually, the intention!

I think part of my problem is that I use WAY too many commas....

We've discussed it before... I'm not great on the whole "brevity" thing...   ;D

Guilty! :D

Oh wait, hmm.... Perhaps I should come up with something that has a comma, just so that I can demonstrate my point... Yeah, that works.  ;D 8)

LOL.... I actually had my picture and quote up first. He was just playing to it. Ironically, I briefly had a picture of Natalie Portman with a gun before I decided to embrace the spirit of the month.... in this context it sure would have been funnier! :D

Wow, Natalie Portman and firearms.  If that doesn't get every man's attention, I don't know what will.  Good choice going with other options.

I got the chronology backwards, but I still got a real good laugh. The picture with the gun probably would have had me fall from my chair laughing.

Natalie Portman is just one of those actresses that are so naturally pretty, you can't hate her for it. Ashley Judd and Jessica Alba are other people who fit this category, IMHO.  :D

I can always Star Wars up my page at a later date, but I'm enjoying the "most ridiculous love scene ever" (leave it to George Lucas) quote on my signature tag too much to change it now.
