Yeah, I didn't want to touch that one. ;)

And we don't WANT the posters to come - this room is reserved for the 'cool kids'! 8-)

It's the little things...

125 posts till I can give karma, if I remember correctly :D

And to think, we once engaged in splitting posts into multiple one-word posts in a race for posting supremacy! ;D

I'm pretty sure 200 is still the magic number for karma privileges.
It is and diehard fan I'm going for 2000 posts by kick-off, which will be tough seeing that the boards seem to die down after basketball.

I have no doubt whatsoever that you'll reach it, off-season or not. This school year you've been on a posting pace that is positively Ypsilantian.
Coming from you sir, I take that as a compliment.Ypsilantian.....wow, now I've got to try a Sageristic post soon. Thanks

Actually, for the past couple of months, I'm pretty sure your pace is at least twice 'Ypsilantian'!

And, of course, by word-count, I'm sure Greg would already be several thousand posts ahead of me if his were divided into 'standard' length posts! 8-)

A technique April and I never thought of - just quote posts without even typing in anything! ;D

That's kind of like the D3hoops version of a retweet...?
LOL and your Pointers were in Naperville today for track. Nice team.

1) This was never about best attendance, although we do, at least once a year, have to type a post that says "Hope" to keep it alive.

2) This is starting to look a bit Ziggrat-esque.  Just saying.

Rest assured, I'll post my annual "Hope leads the nation in attendance" stuff when the final stats are available. But I do that only to assuage the guilt I feel for the time I spend reading this board and all the wonderful posting that happens here - it's almost as much fun as The BeltTM

So April, I went back to page one of the post-Classic, funny, and me not even celebrating post 1000, so 2000 will be monumental !:). Now I'll have to  scroll through the rest-great, another item on the to do list :). Why did everyone's name have "guest" under them? I like Ypsi's quote, "quality, quantity, frequency"-my new inspiration to keep pushing for posting glory. Haahahaha.
Well I deleted my account so that explains me. (Actually, technically I didn't delete my account because that feature is like disabled for HOFers, so Pat did it after I begged him to). I think if you go through the threads long enough there's even an "April" account in these threads that I made, which I also later deleted. Pat has talked about linking my accounts back up, but maybe he should wait to see if I stick around first, rofl.

I am not sure why Greg and a few others are as well, maybe it has to do with the merging of the fb and basketball boards way back.

Post 8952 - who said they have to be round numbers?
Hah, this is ironic since I read a comment I made to smedindy about how his 500th was no a milestone. Come to think of it, the purges of the board are probably why this thread has lost some of it's impact. :/

Hmm ... so here we go, first sweep found 2,338 posts which should be attributed to DHF. Seems like kind of a low number but I know this number only accounts for posts made since we moved to this board in 2005, and not the ones you deleted, one by one, when you wanted out of the board a few years back.

Not sure where to find the number of posts you would have been credited with before.

Well, adding to that, I know your oldest post is the 1,000th post of yours that is the oldest one on this board, so I guess I can add 999. :)

OMG, Bahaha, I totally forgot I did that. What a bad friend I was; thanks for being a good one anyway. ;) I probably only deleted a few dozen posts before you relented so that's not really substantial. I think I was probably in the 4000-5000ish range.

After 8 search attempts (I'm obviously not using the right prompts! :P), I still can't find it, but I posted not too long ago using a quotation from somewhere just before she last left which included her post total.  48xx sticks in my mind (but so do a lot of things that aren't true! ::))

My best guess would be that her previous total plus her current incarnation is somewhere slightly over 5,000.

Still can't find that particular post, but in reading prior diehardfan posts I did find her pooh-poohing my prediction of 10,000 posts by a certain date by saying there was no way she'd post 4,800 more in x months - which would put her at 5,200+/- (this was, IIRC, April 2007, shortly before she took her long 'sabbatical').  She appears to be in the vague vicinity of 5300.

Pat Coleman

Well, if you come across it I'll definitely take it into account.

And April, don't worry about that other stuff. Water long under the bridge. :)

Haha, wow, this is a funny debate. :P

It was probably better to make the post total whatever the board has as my total, since a lot of my old posts probably got deleted at some point with board purges. (RIP Old posts :'( )

Also, yay, I can smite people!!!! 8-)

J/K I hate being smited so much I don't plan on using that at all.  :-[

Oh, I almost forgot... Right now it says I make 53 posts a day due to the post number increase without changing my board start date. I feel like such a internet obsessed recluse. :o

Not trying to pick on UTT but let me dissect your post for the crtieria that count in the regional rankings

Quote from: TexasBB on Today at 09:11:32 pm
I am somewhat surprised the UTT is not ranked in the West region.

They had a 31-9 record overall record is secondary criteria

and were Co-Champions of the East division of the ASC. (Might be considered in common opponents)

They did lose 2 out of 3 to both CTX and UTD earlier in the season. YES!

However, on the last week of the season they finished strong sweeping Louisiana College, a team that made the playoffs in the ASC. 3-0 record goes into the regional record,

UTD on the other hand the same weekend lost one game to ETBU considered in the in-region record and had to come from behind late in the other two games to preserve a share of East with UTT. Come from behind not considered.

CTX finished 31-8 and lost 2 of 3 to TLU the last week of the season but is ranked #2 in the region. The loss of the series is considered; "the last week" is not.

Go figure?

Texas BB

Thanks for the chance to explain my interpretation of the application of the Handbook criteria to new readers.
