FYI, Warren won the race; he's the 25th most frequent poster now.

Also, Ralph threw up like 40 posts overnight last night.  And I harbored secret ambitions of closing within 4400 of him sometime soon.  Those dreams have now been dashed.

Okay, so I gotta ask, since you apparently know. Where do I rank?  :)

You just have to check.  You can go to the list of users; its basically a chart of everyone registered and you can sort it by posts.

You're 7th, but you can also see the top ten posters by clicking on the more stats link near the bottom of the front page of the board.  Enginegro is the newest member, having recently ascended into the 10 spot.

There's all sorts of fun stuff you can find when you've been logged on for 17 days, 7 hours and 38 minutes, like I have.  For example, there's only six of us still around that registered in the previous century.  One of them, obviously, is Pat (user #6).  Four of the others are members of the Hall of Fame.  One of these, the esteemed Coach C (user #8), is closing in on his 1000th post, and may be joining this conversation shortly, although his posting rate has slowed considerably since the end of basketball season.

What I want to know is what happened to users #1 through #5?   ??? :)

I'm curious as to where you found the "user #s" I can't find them anywhere.

I originally registered in late 1999, but that was under my other account.  I changed when I graduated to as to distance myself from the loudmouthed, trashtalking persona I assumed as an undergrad.

I believe the lack of users can be attributed to the changeover.  At some point I recall getting an email stating that my account would be removed if I didn't reply.  I did so for this one, but not for the old one, assuming it was time for that phase of my life to end.  That could account for the missing users.

Wow.... interesting stuff...who knew!

All I know is I'm just glad I'm not on the "Most time spent online list!"  :o

Bring up the profile of the user in question; it's at the tag end of the url for the profile.  For example, here is mine
http://www.d3sports.com/post/index.php?action=profile;u=10
suggesting that I am user #10.

You can see them in chronological order by going to the members list, sorting by Date Registered, and positioning your cursor over the username.  Since the username is a hyperlink, you can see at the bottom of the screen the target, which includes the "u" value.

diehardfan

Yeah, I don't know though... some of that can't be right. Greg being registered in 2001? I'm user 50, but my "date registered" order has me at 108.... etc, etc.

Actually, it was only those whose e-mails bounced, but either way, we did still lose quite a few.

User 1 is the admin account. I don't know who 2-3-4-5 were.

Not all of the dates for registration can be accurate. The old software went through two major upgrades and then there was a changeover. Only HOFers have had their dates back-logged, and if Greg Sager says 2001, then apparently they are not all done.

Hmm, well, that can be sorta confusing for future HOFer inductions, can't it? I was looking at the memberships today after that was posted, trying to figure out who would be eligible for an induction next fall, and all I got was knightstalker and gordonmann, and it didn't seem like that could possibly be right. Hopefan, for example, has been a multiregional poster for ages and ages, but shows up way later than he should registeringwise. How are you going to know?

Mr. Ypsi

Just checked those 'additional statistics' for the first time - OMG, I only registered 3+ years ago and I'm listed as being 'on-line' less than 2 hours less than Pat!

To anyone worried about my mental health, I have frequently gotten interrupted and come back 3 (or 20) hours later to discover that I had never clicked off the browser.  Subtract AT LEAST two weeks from those 35+ days 'on-line' - I'm an addict, but not THAT much of a flat-out junkie! ;D

diehardfan

Well, we all have an even start time... that's related to when this current board system started. These sorts of things explain how I can have way more posts than some people, with way less time online.

Plus, I think Pat told me once that the computer times out on logging you minutes online after a certain point... so you can't pull that excuse.  :D :P ;)
