Ralph,
Thanks again. But this is the whole point of contention. Chapman's teams should be lumped in with another board(s), rather than being the only teams on the two boards.
Oh well, what can one do.

Week 3 Regional Rankings are out: http://www.d3blogs.com/d3hoops/2011/02/16/ncaa-2011-regional-rankings-week-3/

It says that Chapman has virtually clinched the Pool B bid again, and might be in a good position to host an opening round game.

If the Chapman's women's team makes the playoffs,, they may also be in a position to host. It is my understanding, but I could be wrong, that the NCAA powers to be frown on that.

Last year the CU men's team hosted the first game in Southern Ca., with the winning team going up to Spokane. But, on the other hand, the NW hoosted a four team women's regional. Looks like it will be up for grabs again? I can't figure it out.

Yes, there are provisions for which program gets priority to host which weekend of the playoffs.  The women host in the first weekend; the men in the second weekend.

Page 7/49 of the pdf.

The tourney is at 64.  Therefore there will be no byes.

I suspect that there will be 4 west coast teams in the tourney and the highest West Region Seed from the West Coast will host the other 3.

I think that the best hope for Chapman is for L&C to win the NWC tourney and knock GFU deeper into Pool C.

The IIAC has several teams in Pool C contention, so they may keep the NWC out of Pool C.

The next leg of the Chapman bracket will be for the ASC winner to be a travel orphan, which may be (Louisiana College?).  The committee could create a bracket of Chapman, SCIAC, NWC and ASC Pool A's

Chapman 70-51 over UCSanta Cruz
Chapman vs Neb Wes on Saturday for championship.
Neb Wes defeated Chapman earlier in the season.

I didn't know there was a "Trinity DC". So does that mean that D3 sports a trinity of Trinities?

Among the women... :)

Trinity DC was a member of the Atlantic Women's Collegiate Conference, which had a Pool A bid for a couple of years, before the stronger schools were "invited" to join "stronger" conferences.  They (Trinity) did not get a bid to join "one of the sororities" and have floated around Pool B since the AWCC disbanded.
