Based on the D3 boards team listing, Santa Cruz D3 opponent record is closer to 5-7.
I agree that the pool B entry (s) will not come from the above listing of teams. And, according to the same source, UCSC has only 1 D3 game remaining, against ULV.

I'll take a stab at this. This is my first try so there could be some errors here.

Indpendents

1. UC-Santa Cruz 10-3 (7-4 In-Region)
2. Rust 6-7 (5-4)
3. St. Joseph's (Brooklyn) 5-6 (3-4)
4. Presentation 4-7 (0-2)
5. New Rochelle 3-9 (2-7)
6. Finlandia 3-10 (3-6)
7. Maine-Presque Isle 0-8 (0-0)

According to the Nebraska Wesleyan athletics website, the Prairie Wolves are now in an NAIA Conference.

Nebraska Wesleyan has been in the GPAC for some time but since it's not a D-III conference, we list them as an independent.

Cruz

dahlby,

You have the incorrect information on UC Santa Cruz.  You must be looking at last years schedule.  They are currently 10-4 overall against only D3 competition.  They are 7-4 in region and have 5 D3 regional games remaining.  2 of their four losses came from ranked teams and they just beat the 17th ranked Emmanuel college on Sunday by 18.  Pat has listed the correct information in his post...

Welcome aboard Captain Joe.

Please remember that the SAA is a Pool B conference this year.

We have the Pre-Championship Manual for the 2013 NCAA tournament. Here are some key points of interest...

* The breakdown of bids is the same as last year: 43 conference winners + 1 Pool B + 20 Pool C = 64 teams
* The NCAA tournament selections will be announced on Monday via the Internet, like last year
* There are 16 teams eligible for the 1 Pool B bid: Birmingham-Southern, Centre, Finlandia, Hendrix, Maine-Presque Isle, Millsaps, Nebraska Wesleyan, New Rochelle, North Central (Minn.), Oglethorpe, Rhodes, Rust, Sewanee, St. Joseph's (Brooklyn), UC Santa Cruz, Yeshiva
* There are six teams considered provisional that are ineligible for the tournament: Berry, Covenant, Houghton, Southern Virginia, SUNY Canton and Valley Forge Christian

Do they list Centenary LA as "Re-classifying"?  If so, do they say the year in which Centenary is the process of re-classification?

Pat Coleman

Funny -- I got a note about that today and followed up with the NCAA. Have yet to hear back. We believed them to be in Year 2, but it appears they probably belong in Year 3.

In 2014,  I count one bid and 14 schools.

The SAA-7:   Birmingham-Southern, Centre, Hendrix,  Millsaps, Oglethorpe, Rhodes, Sewanee

Gone to the GSAC:  Finlandia and UMaine Presque Isle

Leaving:

Nebraska Wesleyan  --  Declaring for the NAIA?
New Rochelle           -- Women's College closer to the NEAC or the Colonial States AC
North Central (Minn.)  --  When will they finally join the UMAC completely?
Rust                       --  Still an orphan
St. Joseph's (Brooklyn)  --  Doesn't anyone want them?  Or how much longer do they want to consider options?
UC Santa Cruz            --  ???
Yeshiva                     --  Competes in the Skyline  in other sports

Thank you, Pat.  The UMAC web page is out of date. :(

Rhodes probably has the Pool B.  22-3 in-region record.

New attempt at Pool B for 2013-14

East Region:      (1)    New Rochelle NY
Atlantic Region:  (1)    St Joseph's Brooklyn
South Region:    (8)    SAA-7 plus Rust
Central Region:  (1)    Mount Mary
West Region:     (1)    UC Santa Cruz

I get 12 teams.  The Great South AC has found 7 teams to compete this year.  I will assume that they have held onto the AQ.

(Corrections are appreciated.)

Maranatha Baptist is a independent. Majority of their schedule is against NCCAA teams but they are listed as an independent.
