I think we might have broken that Northland news on X last night. I hadn't seen anything about it until someone tipped me off via DM.

From what I have heard is that the issues with Northland has been circulating all winter. My question is why would they wait that long to announce a fundraiser with a short time limit if they needed that much money. Lot of people in Ashland aren't too happy about the situation.

North Central @ Aurora stands out, but I'm excited for Benedictine @ Loras in a night game after last years back and forth battle ended 42-41.

That game was quite exciting last year! I am hoping for more this year. I can tell you that Loras lost a lot to graduation and the transfer portal but returns their starting QB. How is BU on that front? I'm not sure why the game is in Dubuque once again but am excited anytime the Duhawks get to play in the Bowl under the lights!

I would be curious what is happening over at Eureka College. I know most of their returning started transferred over to Ben U. They could be the next school to close with the recent departure of longtime football coach Kurt Barth and others it sounds!

Welcome to the board. Barth was definitely well-liked. When you say most of their returning starters, what does that actually mean?

The school needs a large football program in order to stay open, I believe -- just 83 kids out of 523 in the school in Eureka's last filing with the U.S> Department of Education. An additional 70 kids would be a big deal for the institution.

Eureka has hired a new coach and are actively recruiting. They hired Randy Starks who was a 2 time pro bowl D lineman. Possibly trying to emulate the success Aurora has had with a former NFL player at the helm.  Hopefully they can get the program moving in the right direction.

As a new fan of the program I can't speak too confidently on the players they lost, but they seem to be returning some key contributors. And in my bias opinion they have a strong class of recruits and transfers coming in. I think BU could have some success this season.

The Lindy's D3 preview had 2 NACC Preseason All Americans.
Jalen Jordan DL from Aurora on the first team and
Brian Pitt DL from Benedictine on the 2nd team. Congrats to Both.

What other players in the conference could you see making a run at All American or All Region this season?
