Perhaps so...although it was not myself that said "Let's move on and go after the bad guys from Witt...."   There may be "bigger fish to fry" in the NCAC during '05.  I am very anxious for Wabash to measure its team against this years best in this conference.  As an Ohio boy, I'm sure you are thinking the same thing about your team.

Can my vote on the Earlham game in Pick Em depend on Rummel playing?  I only think Earlham beats the spread with him in there.  If he sits, then I expect Wabash to thoroughly dismantle them.

I'm glad that you girls were able to kiss and make up.  :D

Quote from: short on September 23, 2005, 10:15:09 AMHow did "Witt people" kill your sense of humor.  Are "Witt people" the only people that have ever made a gay crack of people from an all male school?

I assure you, at Wabash, we enjoy girls kissing as much as the rest of the conference :)

oldguy

I see some of you DO have a sense of humor.

Gobash's response was funny.

You see Bashdad, that's how you respond to a joke.

wooscot

GoBash,

Of course you do, that's why you guys chose to go to an all-male school.  Kidding...now its time for us Wooster folk to chided for our insensitivity and lack of humor. ;D

Lancer, you're looking skinny lately...you need to eat!

You're vote can be dependent on whether or not he starts but not whether or not he plays in the game at all or if he gets knocked out at some point.  If he starts, plays some, then goes out it gets muddy as to whether he played enough to make a difference and such.

And just FYI...Wabash is probably going to thoroughly dismantle Earlham whether Rummell plays or not.  The last three games vs. Earlham (all of which featured Rummell I believe) ended up with scores of 46-0, 64-14, and 44-7.  I'm not putting much faith in the Quakers putting up much of a fight tomorrow.

I don't expect much of a game either but I think Rummel can beat the spread possibly.  I was thinking more in the 45-17 range.  Still a blowout but within your spread.

Fair enough.  So do you want Earlham if Rummell starts and Wabash if he doesn't?

that's quite accomodating of you, Wally. Who wouldn't want that pick?

I would be happy to have that pick but I am not trying to make things difficult for you.

Apparently all the people picking Bash to blow out Earlham no matter what would care less if Rummel plays.   :)

Personally, I don't see why anybody would take Earlham and the points here anyway, but if somebody is that conflicted about it, I'll let them waffle.  I'm in a good mood today.  If this were a Vegas line and a player so key to the point spread were questionable, the line would probably be taken off the board.

Just for everybody's edification, last year Rummell was 24-39 for 236 yards and one INT against Wabash.  That's not bad. He also got sacked six times...and that's when he had two good legs.  He also didn't produce any points.  Fast forward a year...Rummell is hurt, Wabash is playing better than they were last year, and it's going to be a fun, festive Homecoming crowd for Wabash.  I really don't see how Earlham can keep it even reasonably close.

Oldguy,

I don't see how you can be disappointed if someone doesn't think you are humorous.....why you ask?

See your response to mine and gobash's references to Griffey Jr and Kremcheck earlier this week....

SaintsFan,

That was because I read the posts at 2 am and didn't read it close enough to realize it was a joke.

Good point though.  I will definitely pay better attention in the future.
