No, I did NOT give the phantom sack. That was at DPU, and I was doing the color commentary for the radio.

The blood-reds have to go. Puh-leeze, some decorum on the unis!

50-2 final.

I haven't seen the red jerseys/red pants since 1996.  If I see them again in the next 10 years it will have been too soon.

Wait, did I miss something.  Way to go puppies! ?  Did Hiram play, or are we refering to Denison as puppies?

Good Win to the Scotties, should have been a lil more convincing though.

IMO, they still need to iron out some wrinkles.  Schaf looked good running and his passes looked much better.  Anderson and Tinsley did a good job running the ball, and getting yards when needed.  Defense had a couple of let downs, but for the most part had a good day.

Stupid penalties cost the Scots on Defense.  I say stupid, not that the players were stupid, but that the refs were idoits to make such calls.  Two passing interferences in particular that allowed the Spartans to continue their drive, or boost momentum.  From my vantage point, both calls were text book pass break-ups (What...Woo DBs breakin up passes??)

Also, a fourth down attempt in the first quarter kept Case in the game.  Wooster had already scored quick, their D took the field and went three and out, and the Scots o was driving once again.  Looked as though the spartans were beginning to hang their heads, but the failure of the Fourth down conversion brought the Spartans back to life.  Had it succeeded, I think Woo would have blown them out.  But, as it was, it changed momentum, and the Spartans followed by having a couple of big plays.

But, A win, is a win, is a win.  Bring on the Gators!

Is Wooster's SID in denial?  The Woo website shows a 38-10 victory over Case (which I guess he reported to d3football) but reading  the thread here it appearsto be only a 38-21 margin.  ???

DarkSide-D

It was in fact 38-21.  I dont know, maybe it was the SID of Case that reported the final...seeing as how it was played at Case

Case has a GREAT new facilities...by the way.

BashBacker765 - you dog you...saw Josh Mills today and actually about put him "out" before realizing we were wrong, he went to Delphi H.S. not Harrison.  Knott didn't know who you were, nor Deno, nor Clifton, you can't be a Beta.  I'm actually glad you weren't Mills and we laughed all day about that...  Man, I hope you are a Phi Psi!  Whoever you are, you are a bigger dork then originally thought.

Congrats to Bash with a win.  Men among boys from the start.  Next week...the schedule starts!!!

Go Bash!!!

Wally & LilGiant,

I actually liked he red on red.  That was the captain's call.  Heard the chant again for the first time this season...my opinion...that ranks right up there with the bag pipes...

BB16,

Any chance we can get you and BB765 to just put the gloves on and fight at midfield during halftime of the Witt game?

Just curious, and maybe this has been gone over and I missed something, but exactly what is this chant that would rank right up with Woo's pipes?

Wasn't at the game, but was the failure on the 4th down play Woo's or the CWRU's D effort?  BTW the play-by-play guys thought there was a missed PI call on Minter.  You were a big favorite, 6 or 7 first teamers for CWRU didn't play or didn't play that much.  Nonetheless, it was 17-14 till the last seconds of the third.  CWRU came back from 31-13, to cut it to 31-21, till a desperation pass in the last seconds was a pick 6 for Woo.  At full strength, I think CWRU would have given you everything you would have wanted.  Thanx thogh for the props on the facilities.

I don't know if the failed fourth down attempt was on the part of the Defense of Case or the O of Woo.  I think it may have been a combination of both.  The Scots ran a play that was read perfectly by the Spartans.  A play that I thought Woo ran a few times before.  I realize we were a big favorite, but the interception that you claim to be a desperation throw was definately not a desperation throw.  I am not sure the timing of the play, but Case had plenty of time to drive the field, get the ball back and kick a field goal for over time, or score to win.  I think the "Desperation" throw was nothing more than an act of stupidity on Case's QB.  Case just forced the turnover, at which point I remember some Case fans taunted number 69 of Wooster who thought we recovered it, when Case's QB threw the pick that got taken to the house.
