Let's hope this wraps up quickly.

Seems like your program can't miss with either candidate.  I am happy for all you.  Your fans and players were nothing but class when they came to the Perk that very cold and snowy day in December!

Interestingly the writer made a big deal out of Zebrowski winning a National Championship ring this year.

HELLO.... Coach Raeburn has four, between playing and coaching
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

All with MUC...and under the guidance of Coach Kehres.  Zebrowski beat Kehres which is a big difference.  I think it's safe to say that the championship experience of both candidates played a huge part in being finalists.

Michael Jordan has more rings than Liberace...and he failed as a coach.
Being  a player on a championship team does not always equate to being a great coach.

Who would have picked Lou Holtz based on THAT criteria.

Either the guys has great passion for winning, or he doesn't.

Remember, US Grant & George Patton did not light it up at the USMA, but they got it done on the field.

Papa Smurf was in the Big Blue Band (he played the oboe)...yet he had those guys in tip-top shape whenever Gargamel sprang a trap!

Li'l Giant

I thought Lou Holtz was Papa Smurf.

I agree with you, but Jordan was never a coach.

He was in the front office (GM, I think) in Washington ... and it did not prove successful.
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Two guys who have made long leaps from the quality of their play to the quality of their coaching are at the Patriots and ND.

From BB16's article:

According to Dean of Students Tom Bambrey, chairman of the search committee, now that interviews have concluded the next step will be for the committee to make a recommendation to Wabash College President Pat White.

"We hope to do that very soon," Bambrey said, "within the next few days."

C'mon fellas, there's being deliberate, and then there is being just plain slow.  This process is crossing that line.

We're killing the few coaches that we've got left out on the recruiting trail, and I've got to believe that we're going to start losing recruits as a result of how long this process has taken.

You've done your due diligence, now do the deal!

Come on Administration ... quit being a bunch of "educators" and hiding behind committee structure.  Quit picking out the lint hair and listening for echos of further "advice" from the English Dept, all of whom wish they could find - just find - the attitude of Earlham.  My nickle:  it needs to be the beginning of the era of the Z.

This decision is bigger than this recruiting class. Will the pace make a difference on this one class? Perhaps. But in the long run will it hurt us? No.

I agree that this decision is bigger than this recruiting class, but you've had these guys under a microscope for nearly a month now.  If you don't know who your guy is at this point, you've done something wrong.

This is the way it's done, though. Of course, they may have already made the recommendation but want to be sure that publicly it's going slow for due diligence's sake.
