I agree it is very hard to wait.  It is like waiting for Xmas morning.  I don't think a few more days should effect this recruiting class at all.  I would think any recruit would be excited with either prospective coach.  As always.

FIJI gets the credit..... I had just finished posting a post about the need for them to hurry up......when I jumped on the Wabash site.
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Thank goodness that's over!

Good luck to Coach Raeburn!

Congratulations Wabash on an excellent hire. Erik Raeburn will serve your program well.
4 IIAC football championships
8 NCAA football playoff appearances
13 straight wins over Cornell in the oldest football rivalry west of the Mississippi

This is very exciting news!  Congratulations to Dean Bambrey and the search committee for a lot of hard work.

I'm sure Coach Raeburn got a great introduction to the Wabash atmosphere at the Witt-Wabash game the other night!

Now more work to do . . . filling out the staff, selling the College, coming up with a new motto (Good to Great to ? ? ?).
Long shall we sing thy praises, Old Wabash

Welcome to Coach Raeburn, and we'll see you from the stands in the fall!

Go Wabash!

Li'l Giant

After a long day and week I just didn't have the energy to post last night.

First, I'll say congratulations to Coach Raeburn. Welcome to you and your family to the Wabash community.

Second, I think we're going to be fine despite the fact that it's February and we just now named our head coach. Even if recruiting takes a hit this class, it's better to have made the right call.

Next, I know some folks both online and off had made predictions and/or expressed preferences among the coaching candidates. I trust Dean Bambrey to have made the right decision. He's a Wabash man, he's a smart guy, and I believe he made the right call.

Finally, the fact that Wabash had as its finalists an HC with recent conference championships and playoff appearances and the OC from last years national champ is a testament to where this program has come in the last seven years. It's a nice luxury to have a national search with well-qualified candidates to choose from and not have to poke your head into the baseball coach's office and say "you ready for some football?".

September can't get here fast enough.

That's freaking hilarious.

In the past Wheaton and Wabash have scrimmaged each other.  I think this was good for both teams.  I hope that this continues with Coach Raeburn.  Congrats Little Giants for getting your new head coach!
