Can you name 10 better?

Who really knows who is a top 10 team or not in June or July?  There are a couple of sure bets out there but beyond that it's a crapshoot.  The poll positions that we're seeing Wabash land at are a measure of expectation more than anything else.  People expect Wabash to be good.  I think it's time to stop being shocked at where the LGs get ranked and start embracing the expectation that they're going to be really good.  Remember...whether you think you can or you think you can't, you're right.   ;)

Oh, I expect them to be good. I'd rather under-promise and over-deliver, as it were.

They won't be the only ones...LG is going to do backflips when he sees this.  Very cool stuff...I'm glad to see Wabash get on board with the video streaming.

Fantastic news - thanks for sharing.  WNDY gamecalls will be missed (unless their personnel are utilized), and instant updates were tolerable but not an absolute necessity.  This will take fewer beers for imaginary visuals and more may be relegated to reality while stuck in 'Lanta.  ;D

Nice ...very nice.

I am ready.   Anyway we can get them to film; camp, two-a-days, 2 mile run, etc.???  ;)

That will be awesome. "I have a fever and the only prescription is Bash Football!!!"

It is not physically possible for me to do a backflip but if it were, I'd be doing one.

This is fantastic. Thanks to whoever at Wabash made this happen. This makes me even more excited for this season that I thought possible.

As a newcomer to this board over the last several weeks, I have been trying to learn as much as I can about each of the teams in the NCAC and have enjoyed your comments.  I am down here in Georgia and my son will be playing football at Hiram this fall.  I know they have had very little success in the last few years but the coaches seemed to have put extra emphasis on recruiting (especially in the South this year).  What is the scuttlebutt up in your area as to what to expect from Hiram this year?

Pat Coleman

Best of luck. Hiram has a long way to go.  :-\

They need to win the opener at Gallaudet to end the losing streak and get the season off to a good start.

Welcome to the board, it's great to have more fans of the lesser represented NCAC institutions here!  As for Hiram, I hate to say ditto, but they do have a lot of work to do.  Here's hoping your son and his classmates can be pointed to in a few as the point at which Hiram really started to click!  The more competitive teams in conference, the better.

I do like Hiram's strategy to get out of Ohio to recruit.  Ohio is saturated with colleges of all sizes and without any sort of winning tradition to speak of, I imagine that it is extremely difficult to for them to recruit in state.  Plugging away at the same thing year in and year out isn't working.  Perhaps the idea of recruiting from outside of the state and then back in will be fruitful for them.  I certainly hope so.

You know, Denison is 13-15 in NCAC play the last four seasons. Kenyon was 6-1 in 2006. Oberlin has been break even the last two seasons. I'd like to see Hiram move up to that level, where they are competitive amongst those schools.

Hiram has two winnable games to start the year before going to C-M.

Ditto your comments.

birddawg:
While I am not a NCAC board guy (rather the MIAA one), nonetheless, welcome to the boards and also best wishes to your son at Hiram this year.  I hope you and family have a great time.  You and the others have commented on the challenges that Hiram faces in building up their football program, yet it is not impossible and, moreover, the real goal is that you son has an enjoyable and great experience both in education and fb there.

BTW, where do you live in Georgia?  Our olderst daughter just finished her first year in teaching elementary school there in a nice suburb just east of Atlanta.  She'll be returning in a few weeks, so it looks like we'll be taking more trips down there again for visits (that, after she gets married at the end of this week!  So we'll be having a whirlwind of a week up here ;)).  Anyway, again, welcome and all the best.  I think you'll enjoy posting with the guys here on the NCAC and as they said, it will be good to have someone from Hiram joining the discussions.
