Actually, a Trinity grad brought it up, which is a school quite similar to those found in the NCAC, but thanks for playing anyway. Perhaps you should have done some critical reasoning (or studied basic research skills) back at the ol' Mount.

Sorry, I actually have to do some work, unlike you folks who can sit around and count your money and read 10 pages of Post Patterns Daily. Though I apologize for mistakenly thinking all those posts about Garcon were from NCAC folks on this board. Next time I'll check the ASC board for posts from the NCAC folks.

Woa Kirasdad.  Take a prozac will ya?  I think all that smed meant was that if you are going to comment on what is said, you should know what was said and who said it.

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Was more in jest, no prozak needed. I just get tired of hearing this discussion year after year.  I actually wish there were more OAC vs. NCAC matchups on a yearly basis. I like you guys. Especially the guys from Wabash and all their chants.

Superior intellect comment followed by Uncle Rico?!?  That's great.

We do have a lot of chants.  They're fun.

I think the recent discussion regarding the favored nations status of kids that pay their way vs. kids that are on significant amounts of aid was only very very very tangentially related to Garcon.  I think the biggest question about Garcon relates to how he got into Norwich more than how he ended up at MUC.  Some folks want to criminalize Mount for it, but Mount's really one degree removed from the source of the smoke on this one.

And finally...DD, I hate to break this to you but Wooster would have gotten housed by Mount last year.  Housed.  Teams that struggle to beat Aurora don't beat Mount.  Ever.   Of course you want the chance to play them, just in case the stars align and you pull it off, but realistically, Wooster would have gotten pounded.  They really are that good.

I don't know Wally, I'm goin off the fact that wooster's D OWNED Carthage last year, and they gave Mount a pretty good run.  However, the fact is that we did not play. So, just like uncle Rico, I'm left with throwing footballs in front of a camera, throwin pigskins over mountains.

Good chatting with you guys. Thanks for straightening me out.

Wish me luck as I am going to move into my "Mid Life Crisis" stage this weekend. On Sunday I am trying out for a Six Man Tackle Football League. I turned 34 this past summer and still have dreams about playing so I thought I would give this a try. I will either finally put this nonsense to rest and realize I am too old for this, or will finally be able to get rid of these dreams and play again. :)

Good luck, Kirasdad. For some of us there is no "again".

haha,  If I were to attempt to play in any league at this point, I would probably break a hip.  And I think I might be the youngest one on this page.

Mr. Ypsi

Good luck, Kirasdad,

I kept playing competitive soccer until I was 51 - the last game, I broke my big toe (but didn't realize 'til later), 5 minutes later my glasses were broken (I was standing well away on a PK by a teammate - geez, did he shank it!)  On the way home from the hospital the next day (once the toe was killing me), it occurred to me that I was still stiff from the previous week's game at the start of each game.

Since I decided to retire the same week as Elway and Gretzky, you may have missed the announcement!  ;D

Hey, I DO work - it's just that when reports are running I can multi-task a bit. And if there's one thing I can do, it's multi-task.

I thought I was brave getting back on the softball horse at 39. Of course, my arm is 78 years old...and I still feel it.

I've got Smeds back on the financial aid thing.  Paying full tuition doesn't factor into decision, although you are correct in saying its a bonus after the fact.  Having worked in the admissions office (albeit as a student) I can tell you that it wasn't a concern.  The box to check isn't even there now.  In addition, WallyFS4 is correct in saying the number ends up coming out about the same as a state school when you add in the financial aid a private liberal arts college gives.

TU2698, I've got to hand it to you.  I've been dying laughing over the fact you actually used the word "cued."  I don't know which is funnier: that you actually used it, or that you haven't caught crap about not being in London.

Finally, BB16 and anyone that likes BK's visor:  what have you been smoking?  The kid played great last weekend (better than I ever expected), but you've got to be kidding me about the visor.  He looks like he's getting ready to go ride a scooter (and that's not any inside joke about a certain AD's method of transportation  ;)).  Plus, I can't support anything that's done solely to draw attention to himself and away from the team.  Stop worrying about looking cool and play football.

Anyways, good luck to the everyone this weekend.  Go BAsh and ND.  In case any of you were wondering, I'm sitting in a law school library finishing up a brief on the Fourth Amendment rights of illegal aliens.  Damn I need a lot of beer.

Beer (amongst other libations) made law school go by a lot faster for me, too. Go grab yourself a 12-pack and you won't care about Terry stops and Chimel areas.  ;)

BashLaw - easy there Gunner, it was a subtle inside joke with DarksideD.  Nothing more.  A lot of guys in college and in the pros are wearing those, are they all looking for attention?  The Edge (Colts), Clausen (UT QB), Don Juan, etc. - personally it would have bugged the crap out of me - trying to see out of it.  No big deal...
