Happy Thanksgiving, all!

Mugsy,

I'm not sure of the relevance here, considering they're playing a team that's ranked 23rd-- better than most of the teams you mention above. If good passing teams (including some not-so-good overall teams) have been able to skew stats then, well, that seems to suggest Wabash may have the same success.

With that said, however, and with no energy at the moment to go looking myself, I wonder what the combined passing stats are for Wabash against quality opponents. I'm guessing not 23rd best in the country.

No question from here on out teams will be very strong offensively.  My point was merely that if you are looking a the 199th ranking in yardage, I don't think that shows the whole picture.  If you play a number of very strong passing teams, it follows that your ranking as a pass defense will suffer.  Now if Wheaton hadn't played a number of top passing offenses and was ranked 199th, then I'd be a bit more concerned.

Pass defense efficiency is a much better gauge, IMO.  Wheaton's pass defense is better than 199th.

Nothing wrong with that, aueagle.  They (the women) knew that when they "signed up" ;D :D  That's just the way it is!  Anyway, I hope you and yours and everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving Day and are enjoying the remainder of the holiday weekend.  Looks like decent weather for most of the games.

Wheaton's lines on both sides of the ball played a great half.

If Wabash cannot find Hudson time in the 2nd half.... it will be a long one.

Not to doubt Wheaton, but I have been pleasantly surprised.  I thought the line play might even be in favor of Wabash going into the game.  Key for Wheaton has been running the ball effectively.  Wheaton needs to continue this in the 2nd half to keep Hudson off the field if they want to win this one.  Wabash can score quickly with the ball in Hudson's hands.

Turnovers have killed Wheaton this year.  The first Wheaton offensive play had me concerned right off the bat with the INT... but they have been stead since.

Franklin and NCC have put up 24 points already. There's 4:16 left in the 1st.

LG's need to shut down that RB for the Thunder...I think the guy has 90 yds? No more sacks....The punt return hurt......Keep the big mo into the 2nd half.... chip away at that 14 pts....GO LG's!!!
