Chicago beat Kenyon 37-36 in 2 ot's.  Kenyon went for two in the second ot and didn't get it.

BashDad

I call foul on declaring Hudson "definitely better" at anything in comparison to Jake Knott.

Fun game to watch. The receiving core is really impressive.

It also appeared his ball had a lot of zip on it today (aside from the pick) - is this just me now noticing, or does his fastball have a little more juice?

Earlham 31
Manchester 21

This one surprises me, as Manchester played Trine pretty close last week.

Chicago 37
Kenyon 36

I'm still forecasting a long day next Saturday for the Maroons.

Just found Westminster @ Allegheny on Fox Pittsburgh - can you still call a field "The Swamp" when you have FieldTurf?

Congrats to former Wabash coaches Chris Creighton & Greg Carlson on victories yesterday.

The Drake Bulldogs had another impressive victory beating Marist 34-6.   Drake is 2-0 this year while outscoring their 2 opponents by a combined 56-6.   Good luck to CC and his Bulldogs @ South Dakota next week.

The St. Scholastica Saints got into the 2009 win column with a 33-8 victory over Maranatha Baptist.  Carlson's Saints pull their record to even at 1-1.  They host Wisconsin Lutheran in Duluth next week.

In other news.....I will be in Indianapolis next weekend for beers.  Still trying to figure out how to get out of my Niece's wedding on Saturday to get Russ, Barry and I up to Chicago for the game.   Was thinking cardboard cut-outs or some sort of scarecrow set-up.

Video highlights from yesterday's game at Wabash have been posted.  Lemond's second TD catch toward the end of the clip is worth the view.  And then worth watching again.

Did you guys see that Witt D-Tackle Lance Phillips is lost for the season due to injury?  That has to be a blow to the D front.  The Springfield paper said a Frosh is now in the starting line up.

Off whe wall remark:  I saw that Wabash had over 4,100 in attendance yesterday.  D2 University of Indianapolis only had 3,100.  Interesting.

Wabash looked very sharp yesterday for their first game.  To echo BashDad's comments on our WR's, they are really fun to watch.  Cody had the burst back from early last season and Chamblee should have a huge year too.  Offensively, Hudson has a ton of weapons to work with.  Pannell & Kraft really give the D a huge boost from last year's unit...both at LB.  All in all it was a very solid start to the season.  Hopefully we can get healthy over the next few weeks.

WAF!

Lafitte is back on the field with Coach Ward and the McPherson Bulldogs.

Great to see the fine young man back in school and back on the football field.

"Lafitte's first carry of the game was a 58-yard scamper"  that sounds familiar.... ;)

Good for Mr. Lafitte. I'm glad he's back in school and on the field. Best of luck to him.

Wabash Red Squad beat the Dannies last night 36-6 at Hollett.  Nice.

Anyone see Freddy Jackson last night for the Bills.  Former Coe player for ER - impressive.

I don't think anyone has mentioned this but this weekend at U Chicago, the Wabash alum that sponsored the tailgate at Wisconsin Whitewater is putting on a similar spread for this game.  I would encourage any Bash fans to attend - he does not hold back!   ;D  His name is Tom Whowell '62.

Jackson was a nightmare for the NE defensive front last night, as were the rookie OLinemen who opened the holes.  The new, coddling the quarterback calls were over the top.  What's next?  Red vests during the season, emblazoned with "don't hit me?"
;D

Searched the UC Athletic site- nada - any word on audio/video for this week's game or is best bet WNDY?

Wabash should have the auido streaming for this weekend's games.  Links to the Real server and the Teamline page are on the weekly schedule.

The Whitewater tailgate was epic...it'll be nice to enjoy this tailgate under some better outdoor conditions.   :)

This is my first post and I wanted to use it to congratulate the Red Squad.  Without selfless men on the team like them, we would not be nearly as successful a program as we are.  The guys making plays on mondays end up being the same guys that make plays on saturdays.

WAF!!!
