Obviously everybody is occupied watching the Giants try to keep their season on life support vs. the Rockies tonight.   :)

I'm trying to get a 7 and a 4 year old to bed without any violence, bloodshed, or tears. Any advice?

Okay, I'll try.  Do you think that the UChicago running game, which looked pretty good last year until Parks was injured, will be able to sustain drives against the Wabash run defense now that Parks is healthy again?  He was a load, and probably will have payback on his mind this year.  In the end, however, will UC's defense be able to stop Wabash's offense, which was clicking well last week.  Maybe someone can pick up the conversation from here....

Smeds - having a 12 & 5, my advice is runnnnnnnnnn!........ the 7 will go down because your are gone and it is quiet..... the 4 will finally give in because the manipulation factor is too easy on a stuffed animal.

If that doesn't work, benedryl can be a powerful weapon.

I was just wondering much the same thing zed...healthy Parks or not, I don't think Chicago has enough on defense to win.  I am anxious to see how the LGs handle a pretty good back.  The last one they saw (Gingg) had his way with our defense.  I'm not sure Parks is of Gingg's caliber, but it's still going to be the first strong test for the LGs this year.

If Chicago can't get a couple of stops early in the game and has to chase, Parks may be a moot point.  My prediction is that he'll bust off one big run somewhere on the afternoon, but really struggle to get yards otherwise.

The one thing that I was drawn to last week during the Denison webcast (Thank you Wabash and   the Knee practice from Indy) was the speed Wabash has on the edge this year.  Few back are going to be able to stretch Wabash out this year.  The middle will be the question......  Hopefully Gum is doing better and if Watson makes the bus, I think we will be just fine.

It will actually be a nice test for Whyde and Co. and Clegg will be playing in front of a bunch of family and friends up in Chicagoland.

Words I hope not to eat Saturday in the Windy City:  I think it would be a good thing to have a little adversity (early in the game) so as to keep us hungry later in the year.  Certainly a healthy Parks could present a challenge-he's big and seems capable.  Would hope that our LB's would be up to the challenge of a big, tough RB.

Read today that Gum is out this week.

Wabash will be fine in this game good RB or not.  Wabash is hitting it's stride early this season in their 2nd year under the new system.  With Hudson passing the ball to the likes of LeMond and Chamblee (the best 2 WR's in the NCAC) and the running the ball with Mambourg behind that O-LINE look out!  Wabash is going to score some points!  This Defense has big time speed when you add in a Player like Kraft.  I look for Wabash to be all over Chi town.

Wooster must bounce back and play much better this week vs OWU.  We all know they have the talent to be special this season it's just a matter of putting it all together.  OWU looks to be playing great Defense and running the ball much better this season (so Far).

Wittenburg is traveling all the way to Wash U.  Not sure what to make of this Tiger Team yet but they will have their hands full in St Louis this weekend vs a Team that Most of the experts here at D3 feel is a better team than them.  If Witt can pull off the upset it will be a nice win for the NCAC.

Allegheny Denison are off...

Washington struggled to put away Westminster (Mo.) last week and they don't have a quarterback.  I've got to believe that it's going to take an epically bad afternoon for the Tigers to fall this weekend (i.e....Witt vs. WashU. last year).  I'm looking for Witt to cruise in the STL on Saturday.

Google mapped the UChicago campus and it appears that this is another one of those *#@%'ing fields with stands only on one side (unless the visitor bleachers are stealthly disguised as field turf from the air-it is UC you know).  Has anyone been there and is this true?
