Li'l Giant

I think we did everything we need to get into the playoffs, but if we didn't, then we didn't. Gentlemen, we have the Bell.

Depauw's defense was soft and weak....

Matt Hudson made a statement....10 of 11 in the 2nd half to bring the Bell back to it's rightful spot.

Happy for Hudson, Kraft, Morris, Watson, and all of the Little Giants!

ER....your first Bell Win!  Congrats!  Get used to it!

Depauw to Hell...... We GOT the Bell!
Why should you go for it on 4th down?

Gloat Gloat Gloat !!!

Dannies:  soon to be 7-3  "Hello UWW"!.  Whitewater ... our gift to you ... best thing other than a bye.

Little Giants ... what a game ... the Bell will be upside down, filled with Budweiser, and rung all night.  AND ... not hidden.

Playoffs ... Little Giants will be there and supported.

CJ Gum......  If the nation does not recognize his talent at the MLB position it will be sad.  I am just glad he is on our team.

To see Matt Hudson sprinting over to ER at the time out to beg him to go for a 4th and 1 at his own 20....... was amazing.   Matt Hudson was not going to be denied today.

Poor Depauw....... they had it..... it was their's.........

If the game goes into to half 14-0..... who knows......  but you had to give Hudson and the Bash offensive another shot at it.   It was over after that.

Allen Center...... here comes the Bell...

The Bell-the Bell-we got it!!!!    Suck it up, Wes-a textbook case of why TOP don't mean nothing. Spud chewed up about 7 minutes on the last drive of the first half, culminating in the minus 20 yd center snap &blocked field goal try. It took Bash about 40 seconds to post 6. They did it again in the third qtr-giving it up on downs at the Wabash 8 after about 12 plays. It took Hudson 2 plats and about 20 seconds to get another 6. As your colleague d3.dpufan said, if you eat up that much clock you better score!
It was a stunning battle-The Tigers showed well and, best of all, we won't have Spud to kick around any more. He is certainly a wizard with his quick release and short passing ball control, but his style plays catch up like a Wishbone offense. Things were said in 2007 about what awaited Haverkamp that evening on campus. I wonder what the center will do? Leave town under a hail of dead cats?

Hudson gets the football ... for leadership, for guts, and for giving up his body to surrprise dannies with QB sneak &  QB runs.  Hudson is back full time and our O and receivers will swagger ... as they should.  Great job D,shutting down the run and the flats pass which is Dick boy's offense.

Robbie Long, get your resume updated.  You have already been there a very long time by Dannie standards.

Gators just pounded OWU 30-13...
4th QT was ugly....24 yd punt by Bishops..
Both sides of the ball, the OWU line got
blown out.....With 5 mins left in 4th, OWU
looked like they just....didn't want to be on
the field......the 2009 misery has ended....
Great job by the LG's...you guys went in
there and took care of business...Congrats!

fijidoc...
I agree what a call, but that was the nail in the Tigers' Coffin. Congrats to Hudson for talking Coach to go for it. Can you think of any other game where they would have doen that> That's what makes Monon Bell games worth going to in person.

Control the ball.  That's the secret.  If DePauw gets to 70 plays, good night.

DePauw ran EIGHTY plays and had the ball 15 minutes longer than Wabash today. I'll wait patiently for your response, Mr. Anderson.

...but the time of possession...time of possession....we're really good at time of possession...

Congrats to Spud Dick for a fine career. Barring another confrontation in the Div3 playoffs (assuming Wabash makes the playoffs), here's one Little Giant is glad that he has finally used up what seems to be xeven ye3ars of elgibilty.

Not in recent history.  He's the best in their entire history.  Spud is DPU's Jake Knott...which is not to say that Spud is half the player Jake was, but he's the DPU equivalent.
