Wow, someone has ingested some Bishop flavored Kool-Aid.

Face it, not even THE Kerry Collins, or THE Peyton Manning, or THE Pope could have helped the Bishops the last two years.

And the loss of a guard (A GUARD?) won't matter one way or the other.

Kerry Collins is not walking through that door, fans.  Peyton Manning is not walking through that door. The Pope is not walking through that door.  And if you expect them to walk through that door, they're going be gray and old.

While we are on the subject of owu ive heard that this year owu has been recruiting some better players than in years past and that the office of finicial aid/addmission has been much more inviting to potential athletes in general. Has anyone heard of any commits/heavy recruits for owu? Knock on wood hear but I have high hopes for owu this next season, compared to these past few years. Possible 6-4!?!?!?! What do you guys thinks?

I understand the Big Red of Denison have completed the on campus interviews of the 4 finalists for the head coaching position, including at least one coach who would be pretty well known to you Wabash guys.......... I'm now waiting for a puff of white smoke from Granville over the next week or so.

On the one hand, I think if Denison is serious about long term success, this particular hire is very important and needs to be handled with care.  On the other hand, it's March 10 and this probably needed to be done four weeks ago at the latest.  I hope, for Denison's sake, that they are getting the right guy.  Can't wait to read who winds up there.

"Extensive national search" and they hire the D coordinator!!!???!!!???  Brutal for the Big Red.  No offense to the new coach but how do you delay this for so long and then seem to settle in-house?   ???

CC (Drake) about to lose Coach Neathery for the first time in his career???...interesting opportunity...

It is becoming more apparent that many D3 administrations do not have a sense of urgency or priority when it comes to hiring a head football coach. Capital is doing the same thing as well.

I heard that Coach Neathery interviewed.  Heard he was offered.  I believe this a great opportunity for Coach Neathery.  With that being said, CC and Coach Neathery long time relationship will be very hard to sevre.  Wish both the best of luck with what ever decision is made.

Old Wabash,

Total speculation from me on who that was... former DPU coach - Matt Walker?

I bet you're on to something there. I think he's probably more looking for a baseball job, but I'd guess he has his name out there for the fun of it.

My thought is they're paying their hire a lot less than what Walker would have asked for.

D3 Guy

I'm not the kind of guy to post the name on a public board private kind of things but if one of you regular posters here messaged me in private I'll share the name.

This is what I suspect. A extensive national search for someone who will work cheap and not complain about resources not spent on football.
