KC

Who did Sutton need to impress by pumping up his stats against Kenyon?  I'm pretty sure everyone knew he was the best player in the conference and probably the division, and rushing for however many touchdowns against a Kenyon defense that started 7 freshmen and was dead last in every possible category couldn't have impressed too many scouts, or anyone for that matter.

KC - Some people just look at the raw numbers. That's why.

And the reason for looking at just the numbers...NFL scouts don't really pay all that much attention to Divsion III games.  Typically, they spend their Saturdays watching the higher division games.  When looking at DIII players, scouts come to teams practices, and look at their stats.

Sorry Bashers, I don't know anyone who has used the Teamline steam.  Seinfeld's suggestion sounds like a good one, though.

Let me know how it turns out though

I contacted Teamline.  You can test and see if your computer will play the feed.  Go to www.teamline.cc at the Enter your Team name put 9999 then enter.  Click on Watch the Live Internet broadcast.  I just tried, and contacted them.  They are working on the site, and should be able to check later today.  As always.

James (FS4),

Thanks, nice work.

Glad to finally see your boy, Shirack, getting a piece of the action!  Send more!  Talk to you soon.

Injuries are mounting at Wittenberg...

If you were a coach, would you want all of this clearly printed in the local paper???  It poses and interesting question.

Here's the link... http://www.springfieldnewssun.com/sports/content/sports/stories/2005/10/12/snssp1012wittfootball.html - Fincham calls it the worst they've had in 10 years.

If you cannot access it, it only takes a minute to register.

Darkside: Scouts look at d3 prospects when and where bona fide d3 prospects can be found. Statistics are regarded by NFL scouts as potentially highly misleading.

Teamline is hooked up.  Rather have it on a 50 inch LCD, but the 4" screen will work.

I hope the buffering will not be a problem when there is much more traffic on the site.

Why should you go for it on 4th down?

It's part of the game.  Do you think Wabash could have made a play for the conference championship last year if they had healthy Selby, Lafitte, King, Summers, any number of o-linemen, etc.??  I do.  I know I've harped a lot about last year's slip-slide in the second half and how a good portion of that was due to quarterback flip-flopping and what not, but you can't discount how much those injuries hurt Wabash.  Wabash was on the verge of beating both Wooster and Witt last year...I think it's not hard to imagine those games swinging the other way if Wabash had just a couple of those injured bodies at full strength.

The point is, you won't see me shedding tears over Witt's injury problems.  They're fortunate to be getting Holmes back this year otherwise they'd be on the expressway to a losing record.  No way I can feel sorry for Fincham or his team here.  Sounds to me like he should quit whining to the press about his injury problems and tiger up...whatever the heck that means.

Wally, I'm shocked! ;D

Sounds like a ready made excuse if Witt loses some NCAC games.
