Our country and OWU are in the same spot....Big problems...Now the people are wondering if the men in charge really know what they are doing..GO BISHOPS

Whoa, deep breaths, AU, deep breaths.  I take issue with most of your post, but this comment crosses a line.  I'm not sure people who have lost loved ones defending our country or their livelihoods, homes and/or families due to the current state of the economy would appreciate their "big problems" lumped together with your negative feelings about a Division III football program.

First day to post for me. I have been reading for several years. I won't be as entertaining as some of you guys but I can tell everybody is a fan of D3 football. The last several years I plan a season schedule and usually get to a game every week. I'm in Northwest Ohio and I get to all of the Heidelberg home games, and the weeks I'm not in Tiffin I get to OWU, Oberlin, and work other games in during the season.  I always get a trip in to Selby Stadium to watch OWU. The first night game tomorrow should be fun. I hope the Bishops get headed in the right direction. Maybe they can get a start tomorrow night.

Nice to meet everybody and I'll be following along all season.
I'm not from this board, JA8486, however, welcome to the boards.  It is great to see such enthusiasm from another DIII fan.  I'm sure you'll enjoy posting with the people here and on the other boards and you'll probably be just as entertaining as some of us try to be ;D ::)  Anyway, safe travels to your next game and hope you enjoy it.  Sounds like you have a great system.  When I was in grad school, being a former DIII player, I did the same thing as you - dragged by wife to a different "game of the week" each week! ;)  She did enjoy it though.

bishop.....Relax Francis...You were there at Selby last week, right? You saw the Witt game...Tell me what the parents & others said to you that is so different....Tell me how you defend what is going on in Delaware....You'll be there for COW tonight, right?.....sit next to me and explain to me why everything in my post is so shocking....Tell me how you stop from being 2-16 in the first 4 games of the last 4 seasons...You have the pulse of the program in, what...53 posts over the years....Keep throwing good money at a bad investment and you lose the money, period.
Don't mock the passion of this board by suggesting "negative feelings about a division 3 football program" is so trivial...If we can pick apart the D1, pro or anything else...why can't we be honest about a university operation that is under performing...Oh...I have lost friends in The War Against Terrorism...lost a friend in The Towers and have a friend at work that lost his country club home.....Those people are/where winners....and  I am sure they would want OWU to be a winner too..

^^"Mock the passion" of this board?  How, exactly, did I do that?

If you're going to base what you perceive to be my lack of knowledge about the OWU football program based on my number of posts, this conversation is doomed from the outset.  Had you simply asked, preferably in a more respectful manner, my opinion is based on having played at OWU under Coach Hollway for 4 years and followed the team closely ever since that time.

Fox Sports Net Pittsburgh will do a live broadcast of the Wittenberg vs Allegheny game today at noon. This will be channel 29 of the Comcast cable system.

Should be a good game. I'm looking forward  to seeing what the Tigers
have plus, the Gators program looks to be on the upswing.

And as I posted a few days ago, nationwide on FCS Central (with the requisite replays).

It's so cool being able to watch this game in NYC. Gheny just turned away witt on another 4th and 1! That's the second time...

Very cool indeed.  I'm enjoying it from Indy.  Didn't even know I got FSN Pittsburgh.

BashDad

Really screwy play calling on a 1st, 2nd, and 3rd and goal by Witt. All runs by QB.

Witt up a field goal 10-7.

BashDad

Why doesn't Gheny have a three-step passing game?! It's like watching a basketball team that can't hit free throws.

Being a San Antonio Spurs fan that makes a lot of sense to me.  ;)

Thank you FCS Central briging the NCAC all the way to Denver.  Now if it were only the Scots game.

Touchdown Gheny! Great, great drive. 14-10
