OK, I never post but I could not resist this time. Bashbrother, it's nice to know if I ever get in a bind with someone to take care of the Wally Wabash mascot, I have a veteran I can call at a moments notice...

I would be on that in a second!

Ahhh,  now you date yourself.  The Rhynes making the Banks Cirgar Store run after study hours.

Rhynies Read and Reading Tremble, the last vestige of pole fights for pots, and toasted rhynes running around the fire singing "Old Wabash".   "Now reverse, you neophytic bast*rds - that side is almost medium rare."   Almost as intimidating as Chapel Sing when it was a "pated W" instead of a painted one.   ;)

Thanks for the link, Wabco - had to wait four hours for the upload, but worth every second of it.  #84 did great, and hope recovery going well for him, Bash-Dad.   WAF!

Just saw the Chapel Talk....very, very impressive. Thank you for the insight
to the bond that you men share. Very funny when your LB said "swallow"..
Best DePauw team ever? Crawfordsville, Indiana 47-0.

wally_wabash

I don't think this was the best DePauw team that I've seen, even had they won the game on Saturday.  I think DPU was a hair better last year (Spud >> Engle) and I think they were a LOT better overall in 2005.  Those were two damn good teams that played in 2005.

That 2005 DPU team was one that was really good. I think they were good enough to have beaten Trinity that year, had that game been played.

No video of Witt-ONU game in northeast Ohio anywhere?
Have to do the audio-live stats.
Is it possible that both the injured senior wideouts might be back next year for Wabash?
Saw where Moeller for OSU just received a 6th year of eligibility. That is a long time in school, unless he is finishing up his Master's.

In the chapel service for Wabash before the Monon Bell game, was that the entire student body?
Is Wabash a Christian or Catholic school?  Or is chapel something the school makes available?  Either way, that was a great video and I already sent it to my two boys and a couple friends who have kids debating whether to go D1 or D2 or D3.  A big decision.

One last reminder to post your picks in the OAC Pick-Em's if you're up to it.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

BashBro,

Laughed out loud bro with the whole family and had to read it to them.  Classic, just classic on all fronts.  I love it.  Man, that is funny.

Send me the pic of the hot chick so I can see it.

I didn't realize CC had such a good record in the Bell game.  Lynch beat him and then Walker got him once..  Where's the Chapel talk link?

Go WITT Tigers tomorrow!!!  Represent the NCAC......

Thought you guys might enjoy this.  For those "not of Wabash" the Thursday before the Wabash / DePauw game, the students gather for the "Monon Bell Chapel".  He following includes presentations by the 5 senior captains and coach.  What comes out - at least I believe it does - is the answer to why and how Wabash gets its students and football team.  I am always impressed by the pride of our guys and the their uniform (as representatives of the whole school student body) ability to communicate.  Now you also know why DePauw received the 47-0 beatdown.

BB16 - Bottom of the above Wabco link.....  That was a tremendous Monon Bell Chapel...  seriously, if any outsider wants to look inside this historic rivalry, this is a great view.

Where there's a WITT, there's a way - sic'm, Tigers.  Would be good to have the OAC board see a bit of the "red" end of the visible spectrum for a change!   ;)

Nike:  Much of the student body attends the "Monon Bell Chapel" event on the Thursday prior to the game.  It is called "Chapel" for two reasons - the meetings take place in the building known as Pioneer Chapel (dedicated in 1929, capacity approx. 1100), and the weekly Chapel meetings are a remnant of what orginally was a daily sermon back in the 1800's.   Chapel attendance stopped being mandatory back in 1971 at time when many other traditional activities also ended.  There are no ongoing religious services in the Chapel but it is used by the Wabash community for as the center for many activities.  Regarding religious affiliation, Wabash was founded by Presbyterian ministers but is not affiliated with any one faith or denomination.
