Pierre Garcon was a once in a lifetime kid who realized after a year at Norwich he wasn't going to realize his dream unless he made a change. He was also a kid with enough class and loyalty to Coach Kehres to come back on campus after his first Pro season and complete his degree. Another reason I don't want to hear the innuendo's

70's, If you mean PG's pro abilities, I think Cecil Shorts may have something to say about that. You may mean his situation, which I agree was a bit unique.

Check this out from Tom Runge's Alumni Blog on the Wabash website this morning:
http://blogs.wabash.edu/alumni/2010/11/23/wabash-on-college-gameday/

Anyone catch it live? It was all over the broadcast...

WAF!

That's great.  Copying my Cougs!....... Very Nice.

WAF!

We hung out with the Cougar 'rep' of the maroon flag all morning. Pretty intense streak (each GameDay since '02, some 105 or so games) and sweet flag...with only autographs from each GameDay member (Kirk, Desmond, Corso, Fowler and Andrews). Same flag is shipped throughout the country amongst the alumni community - very impressive!! Although the 'W' flew a good 5 or 6 feet higher!

Kinda hope the show doesn't make it out to Cougar country anytime soon just to all the consecutive streak to grow... ;)

The GameDay broadcase is as every bit impressive in person as it seems on tv!

I suppose the person who stated different school have different missions has hit the nail on the head. and skunks sidekick, who said anything about a former wooster soccer player ;) ? and yes, I would love a capri sun, got any cold spray I could borrow ? ;)
When it comes down to two people of equal talent, it comes down to heart, I don't lose often when it comes to heart.

Yeah, with the way the WSU Cougars are playing and the isolation of Pullman Washington, I am fairly certain that the streak will continue. (We couldn't even get it when we were at our best in the last decade)  I just love the pic, in that both of the schools I support are featured!  Classic.

It would be great to see the 'W' represented in a similar fashion on Saturday mornings.   Wabash definitely has the passionate alumni group to pull it off!

And Ryder.....bitter former WOO soccer players aren't a pretty sight.  Go drink a Capri sun and put some cold spray on it.  You will feel better.   ;D

Speaking of faulty research...

Ryder? Soccer? HA! Now that really wouldn't be a pretty sight!

I'd bet he'd prefer a different type of refreshment than a Capri Sun, though  ;D

smedindy

How - he got more votes.
Why - more coaches thought he deserved a vote.

Any other questions?  :D

Watched it again for the 7th time.   Taking a look at o-line and defensive back field this pass...

Trivia Question:   How many times can one watch the 2010 Monon Bell game before it would be considered too much?

Answer:   That game only gets better with age  ;)

Happy Thanksgiving to the NCAC Board!

Is that similar to "a bit pregnant?!"

Reminds me of a line I used to use in lectures about generalizing the results from experiments: "while the circumstances surrounding any experiment are unique, some are uniquer than others"! :o ;D

Looked over the Trine program.
They have come far in such a short time.
Only 16 seasons & they are on the map....
Talk about "Fast Track"....
The Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium is awesome.
Suites, Hospitality Box, Overnight room, Open-air
"Thunder Club - Thunder Deck"....Has to be one
of the best in D3 or D2 for that matter.

As I know you are a college football history "nut" like me (re; your knowledge of Selby, etc.), I thought you might enjoy hearing about this.  I agree with you regarding Trine - they indeed, have come a long way since football was reinstitutedol. at the school.  They actulally had football in the late 1890's and I believe their last team was 1900 until their very kind and generous alumnus Mr. Shive, a successful businessman from Fort Wayne gave them a couple million dollars back in the mid-1990's to build their football field, stands and press box.  Appropriately named Shive Field, this is the same location now as the Zollner Athletic Stadium, which is awesome as you say.  I think (at least I hope they have - can any of our Trine people here help us out with that? ???) that Trine has still kept the new style turf field named after Shive i.e. Shive Field at Fred Zollner Athletic Stadium, as is the norm now at most colleges and universities where two different donars give bigtime $ to finance the facilities.

It is great to see they have brought back the sport, like the University of Chicago has in its "new era".  It has helped in enrollment also in part, upgraded academic programs, they have also preserved some of their oldeest buildings on campus from the 1880's/1890's among the new modern buildings that have been built and they even have their own college owned professional style golf course!  It is great to have them in our MIAA, with the exception that they are beating all of us now quite regularly in football now ;D.  If we all are not careful and don't get our programs back to where some of them were, Trine might be challenging the streaks of Albion in the 1990's and Hillsdale in the 1950's when that now DII school was in our league (and Alma/Adrian in the early 1970's and HopeAlbion in the late 1970's and Adrian to a degree in the 1980's regarding those mini-streaks for the latter schools. ;D .

Anyway, I thought you might enjoy that piece of info.
