According to the South Bend Tribune:

Plymouth High School cornerback Houston Hodges and running back Brock Smith are headed to Wabash College.

The 5-foot-10, 175-pound Hodges had 34 total tackles, three tackles for losses and three interceptions last season.

Despite playing five games with a separated shoulder, the 6-foot, 193-pound Smith rushed for 1,485 yards and 16 touchdowns.

Houston Hodges is the younger brother of Austin Hodges who already plays in the defensive back field for the Little Giants!

Another Wabash recruiting note, one of this year's Lilly Scholar's Kris Nickle from Rockville H.S. was a four year varsity football player, as well as a four year captain of his track team.

Wonder if he'll go out for the squad?

One more note, Joe Haklin (Wabash Class of '73) has been named the new Wabash A.D.  He was most recently the A.D. at Marian University in Indianapolis.

Speaking of parity between athletics and the arts, Allen High School should have a hell of a glee club next year- 60 million can buy a lot of pitch pipes!

I may be a bit biased, but you're getting a great one in Joe.  Congrats to Wabash on a great hire.

How do you know Haklin, Stinger?

Stinger can elaborate, but would guess his collegiate coaching career at K'zoo College?  I just knew him from a Jack Charles' class we shared back in '71 (or was it '70?).  Glad we "intercepted" him from Marian!

Heads-Up NCAC...Hiram has a very...very good class.
I know 5 of the schools & some of the coach's  where the recruits are from,
and they are strong football programs...
I hope this is a strong foundation for the program & school.
Thanks hiramterriers... I want to see & hear Bark out of these Dogs...

Congrats to the Wabash track team's NCAC Championship!!!  Football guys are all over the results....congrats to Wes Chamblee's 400M championship at 49 seconds!  Wow.  How about the 4x100 relay team with ALL football guys - Belton, Hunt, Hildebrand, and Smothers...  Wabash has some serious speed returning next season on both sides of the ball.

Nice job LG's!!!

So who won the NCAC All-Sport Trophy this year?  Dennison held the lead through the end of the winter sports season according to the NCAC website.
